Oliver "Ali" Nejad (born 25 February 1978) is an Iranian-American television personality, who has hosted several shows including ''Road Trip'' on ESPNU, and has been a fill-in host for ''UNite'', also on ESPNU. In May 2014, Nejad began working at HLN and hosted the network's program ''The Daily Share''. He also executive produced and hosted his own award-nominated show, ''The Social Life''. Though he has worked on-air since age 17 on a variety of projects, he is also known for his work as a poker commentator. Nejad was the off-screen announcer on NBC's ''Poker After Dark'' and the color commentator on NBC's ''National Heads-Up Poker Championship''. He has also been a correspondent for ESPN's World Series of Poker coverage, a commentator for ESPN's ''Pro-Am Poker Equalizer'' series, co-commentator with Chad Brown on the ''Ultimate Poker Challenge'' series and with Daniel Negreanu on the PCA 2009 series. Ezzat Ebrahim-Nejad
Ezzat Ebrahim-Nejad (also Ezzat Ebrahimnejad) was an Iranian student, poet and demonstrator who was shot and killed in the attack by security forces on Tehran University dormitory that preceded and provoked the July 1999 student riots in Iran. Several other students were beaten and injured in the attack and some police were later brought to trial, but no trial has been held for Ebrahim-Nejad's killer, who according to witnesses was a ''lebas-shakhsis,'' or plainclothesman, a "shorthand" term for "paramilitary forces in civilian clothes." According to Iranian human rights activist Shirin Ebadi, it was Ebrahim-Nejad who was the owner of the blood-stained shirt held aloft by Ahmad Batebi in a celebrated photo which appeared on the cover of ''The Economist'' magazine in 1999. Korosh Nejad (born Korosh Arshadnejad) is an Iranian professional poker player based in London, England. He was born in Tehran. Nejad has played for over 30 years, but first came to the public attention with three impressive performances in the Stakis Festival in London during May 1999 where he had a 2nd-place finish in a £100 Pot Limit Omaha tournament, a 1st-place finish in a £100 Seven Card Stud tournament and a 4th-place finish in a £250 No Limit Hold Em tournament.
