Neil Robinson (baseball)
Cornelius Randall Robinson (July 31, 1907 – July 23, 1983) was a professional baseball player in the Negro leagues. Robinson was also known by his nicknames Neil, Neal, and Shadow. He primarily played centerfield, but also played short stop, left field, and third base. He played from 1930 to 1952, mostly for the Memphis Red Sox. He also played with the Homestead Grays and Cincinnati Tigers. He was best known as a power hitter. Robinson had several seasons with a batting average greater than .300, and in 1939 and 1940, he won back-to-back Negro American League home run titles. Neil Robinson (footballer, Born 1957)
Neil Robinson (20 April 1957 – 24 November 2022) was an English footballer who played as a defender or midfielder for Everton, Swansea City, Grimsby Town and Darlington. Career Robinson was born the youngest of a family of seven children (six boys, one girl), just 100 yards away from Everton Football Club's ground, Goodison Park, (in Spellow Lane, Walton Liverpool). He began his football career as an apprentice professional at Everton FC in April 1973, aged 16. He signed as a full-time professional for Everton one year later in April 1974. Robinson scored his only goal for Everton at Goodison Park in the last game of the 1977–78 season beating Chelsea 6–0. Robinson became a vegetarian at age 13 in 1970 and in 1980, age 23, he became a vegan and was reportedly the first vegan footballer to have played professionally. Neil Robinson (29 July 1962 – 13 September 1986) was a motorcycle circuit and road racer from Ballymena, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Robinson died aged 24 during a practice session at Oliver's Mount racing circuit, Scarborough. Racing career Early years In 1983 Robinson made an immediate impact on the British domestic racing scene, winning the 250cc Championship riding a Yamaha RD250. 1986 season For the 1986 racing calendar Robinson initially campaigned Suzuki machinery in a privateer capacity, being sponsored by a used car business. Neil David Robinson (born 18 November 1979) is an English former professional footballer. He is the son of former professional footballer Neil Robinson. Career Prescot Cables Starting his career at Prescot Cables, Neil quickly impressed, scoring 43 goals for the Northern Premier League side in just one season, leading to interest from league clubs. Macclesfield Town Robinson was signed up by David Moss for Macclesfield Town, for a fee of £12,000, but his stay at Moss Rose was to be hampered by injury, and he was loaned out to Leigh RMI and Southport, and he impressed in the latter. Southport F.C. Neil Robinson is a retired para table tennis player from the United Kingdom. He participated in seven consecutive Paralympic Games and won team titles with Scott Robertson and James Rawson in both world and European championships. He was appointed Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2012 New Year Honours for services to disabled sport. Paralympic career At the 1992 Barcelona Paralympics, Robinson took silver in the Men's Singles Class 3 and gold in the Men's Teams Class 3 alongside James Rawson and Phillip Evans. Neil Robinson (28 February 1929 – 4 October 2009) was a Church of England priest and Archdeacon of Suffolk from 1987 to 1994.
