Neil Cordy
Neil Cordy (born 8 April 1959) is a former Australian rules footballer and now television presenter. Football career Cordy was recruited from Traralgon, Victoria. He made his AFL debut with the Footscray Football Club in 1979, and went on to play 139 games and kick 28 goals with the club until 1986, mainly playing as a winger. He moved to the Sydney Swans in 1987, playing more of a defensive role, going on to play 96 games and kick 3 goals until 1993, when he retired. Media career In 1996, Cordy became a sports reporter for Network Ten in Melbourne, and appeared in the documentary ''Year of the Dogs'' in this capacity. He has been a long-time contributor to the show '' Sports Tonight'' and the nightly sports reports on the news. He has also been a boundary rider during AFL matches for Ten, mostly in Sydney or for big games involving the Sydney Swans, such as the 2005 and 2006 Grand Finals. Footscray Football Club
The Western Bulldogs are a professional Australian rules football team that competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), the sport's premier competition. Founded in 1877 as the Footscray Football Club, and based in West Footscray in the old City of Footscray west of Melbourne, the club won nine premierships in the Victorian Football Association (VFA) before gaining admission to the Victorian Football League (which became the AFL in 1990) in 1925. The club has won two VFL/AFL premierships, in 1954 and 2016 and was runner-up in 1961 and 2021. Much of the club's supporter base comes from Melbourne's traditionally working-class western region. Ayce Cordy
Ayce Cordy (born 6 August 1990) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played with the Western Bulldogs in the Australian Football League (AFL). The Bulldogs used their first-round selection, 14th overall, to secure Cordy after bid their first-round selection (pick 13) for him. Cordy's father, Brian, played 124 games for the Bulldogs in the 1980s. His brother, Zaine, currently plays for the Saints. Playing 27 games for the Western Bulldogs, Cordy was delisted at the end of the 2015 season. Cordy crossed to Williamstown in the VFL after being delisted, although he had already played for Williamstown from 2009–13 while on the Western Bulldogs list as part of the alignment between the two clubs. Traralgon Football Club Players
Traralgon ( ) is a town located in the east of the Latrobe Valley in the Gippsland region of Victoria, Australia and the most populous city of the City of Latrobe. The urban population of Traralgon at the was 26,907. It is the largest and fastest growing city in the greater Latrobe Valley area, which has a population of 77,168 at the 2021 Census and is administered by the City of Latrobe. Naming The origin of the name Traralgon is unconfirmed. The name was used for the pastoral lease of the Hobson brothers in 1844, centred on Traralgon Creek, and was alternatively rendered 'Tralgon' by Dr Edumund Hobson.
