Neftalí Rivera
Neftalí Rivera Oliveras (November 3, 1948 – December 23, 2017) was a Puerto Rican basketball player who competed in the 1972 Summer Olympics and in the 1976 Summer Olympics. He holds the record for most points in a game in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional when he scored 79 points on May 22, 1974. In that game he achieved the record by making 34 field goals (all of them 2-pointers as the 3-pointers were not adopted back then) and 11 free throws. He died on December 23, 2017, at Auxilio Mutuo Hospital in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico, due to respiratory problems. Career Rivera played for 15 seasons in the BSN. He made his debut in 1969 with the Piratas de Quebradillas and retired in 1983 with the Leones de Ponce. His first 13 seasons were spent with the Piratas, where he won four championships in the seasons of 1970, 1977, 1978, and 1979. Since his debut Rivera was an impact player in the BSN league. Mario Morales
Mario Morales Micheo (born November 13, 1957) is a former Puerto Rican basketball player. He is known as a.k.a. "Quijote" Morales for his ability to conquer both scoring and team championships in Puerto Rico's BSN league. He is the father of Evansville Purple Aces women's volleyball coach Fernando Morales Lopez. And he also played for the Villanova Wildcats Men's Basketball team in 1975-76 season where he averaged 4.7 points and 1.5 rebounds and Villanova went 16-11. Biography Professional career Morales became a member of the BSN's ''Cangrejeros De Santurce'' in 1974, when he was only 17 while still playing high school basketball at the Colegio De La Salle in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Teófilo Cruz
Teófilo "Teo" Cruz Downs (January 8, 1942 – August 30, 2005) was a Puerto Rican professional basketball player. After playing college basketball, Cruz played in Puerto Rico's top-level league, the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN) with Cangrejeros de Santurce (basketball), Cangrejeros de Santurce, Indios de Canóvanas, Mets de Guaynabo (basketball), Mets de Guaynabo, Maratonistas de Coamo, Cardenales de Río Piedras, and Indios de Mayagüez (basketball), Taínos de Mayagüez. Cruz also played in Spain with Picadero Damm, and in Belgium with R.C. Mechelen, Racing Club Mechelen. Raymond Dalmau
Raymond Dalmau Pérez (born October 27, 1948) is a retired Puerto Rican professional basketball player and coach. Dalmau played in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN), the top tier basketball league in the country, for 20 seasons with the Piratas de Quebradillas. At the time of his retirement, at the end of the 1985 season, Dalmau was the BSN's all-time leader in points (11,592), rebounds (5,673) and assists (2,302). Career Dalmau grew up in Harlem, New York. From there he came to Puerto Rico for the first time in 1966, recruited by Raymond Burgos to reinforce the Piratas de Quebradillas in the BSN. At that time, players of Puerto Rican descent were recognized as imported into the tournament. Dalmau had a very immediate impact in the league despite been only 17 years old.
