''Neeyat'' ( ''Intention'') is a 1980 Indian Hindi-language romantic action film, produced by Pradeep Sharma and Manoj Kaytee under the Screen Idol Productions banner and directed by Anil Ganguly. It stars Shashi Kapoor, Jeetendra, Rakesh Roshan, Rekha and music composed by Kalyanji Anandji. Plot The film revolves around 3 childhood soulmates Vijay, Jeet, & Ajay. Jeet is a tycoon, Vijay is the sibling of Aravind a candid journalist and Ajay is a cop. Jeet is so cordial to Vijay's family and comforts Vijay. Shyamalal Babu Rai, known professionally as Indeevar, (also credited as Indiwar and Indeewar) (1 January 1924 – 27 February 1997) was one of the leading Hindi film lyricists in the 1960s. Early life He was born in Barua Sagar of Jhansi district of Uttar Pradesh and grew up in Barua Sagar in Jhansi District. He moved to Mumbai to pursue a professional career as a lyricist. Career He got recognition in ''Malhar'' in 1951, where he penned "Bade Armano Se Rakkha Hai Balam Teri Kasam" which was set to music by Roshan. Pinchoo Kapoor (1927 – April 28, 1989) was an Indian actor born in Rawalpindi, Punjab Province (British India), Punjab, British India in 1927. He acted in many Hindi films during the 1970s and 1980s. Amit Kumar (born 3 July 1952) is an Indian playback singer, actor, music composer. Kumar launched his own music production company, named Kumar Brothers Music. He predominantly worked in Bollywood and regional film songs since the 1970s, including 150 Hindi and Bengali compositions by R. D. Burman. After Burman's death in 1994, citing a lack of quality music composition, Kumar withdrew from playback singing and concentrated on live orchestra shows. Mohammed Rafi (24 December 1924 – 31 July 1980) was an Indian playback singer and musician. He is considered to have been one of the greatest and most influential singers of the Indian subcontinent. Bindu Nanubhai Desai (born 17 April 1941), better known mononymously as Bindu, is a former Indian actress who was popular in the 1970s. She has acted in over 160 movies in a career that spanned four decades, receiving seven Filmfare award nominations.
