''Neerajanam'' is a 1988 Indian Telugu-language romantic drama film directed by Ashok Kumar and starring Vishwas and Saranya. The film's music is composed by O. P. Nayyar. Soundtrack After a gap of ten years, O. P. Nayyar returned to composing with this film. All the songs from this film were retained in the Hindi remake ''Mangni'' (1992). Reception Griddaluru Gopalrao of ''Zamin Ryot'' on his review dated 4 August 1989 criticized the film for its poor writing and lackluster direction. Gopalrao, however, praised Saranya's performance. Saranya Ponvannan
Saranya Ponvannan (born Sheela Christina) is an Indian actress who predominantly appears in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam language films. Saranya made her debut in a lead role in Mani Ratnam's ''Nayakan'' (1987) and went on to play lead roles from 1987 to 1996. Following an eight-year sabbatical, she returned to films in 2003 as a character actor roles. Career Saranya made her Tamil debut in Mani Ratnam's production ''Nayakan,'' as the female lead opposite Kamal Haasan in 1987. Sathyam Babu Dixithulu (born 31 July 1951), known by his stage name Sarath Babu, is an Indian actor known for his works predominantly in Tamil and Telugu cinema. He has worked in more than 200 films. He has appeared in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and a few in Malayalam and Hindi. Ashish Vithal Rajadhyaksha (born 12 March 1957) is an Indian film scholar, art curator and cultural theorist. Paul Willemen (17 August 1944 – 13 May 2012) was a Belgian-born British professor, author and essayist.
