Sheldon Neeley
Sheldon A. Neeley (born September 20, 1968) is an American politician, currently serving as the Mayor of Flint, Michigan. He was elected as Flint’s mayor in 2019 and served an abbreviated three-year term before being re-elected in 2022. Neeley is a registered Democrat and a former state representative in Michigan's 34th House district. He served two complete terms and one partial term in the Michigan House of Representatives between 2015 and 2019. He resigned from his position in the House when he was elected as the Mayor of Flint in 2019. Neeley's wife, Cynthia, was elected to his former seat on March 10, 2020. Neeley served two complete terms and one partial term on the Flint City Council between 2005 and 2014, prior to his tenure as Michigan Representative and was the Council's first African-American member to have come from Flint's Sixth Ward. Teddie Joe "Ted" Neeley (born September 20, 1943) is an American singer, actor, musician, composer, and record producer. He is known for portraying the title role in '' Jesus Christ Superstar'' (1973), a role for which he was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards and has reprised numerous times. Neeley considers himself a baritone, and is known for his extremely wide vocal range and rock screams—notably the G above high C ( G5) in "Gethsemane (I Only Want to Say)" from ''Jesus Christ Superstar''. Melissa Neeley (born September 1, 1972) is an American broadcast journalist, actress, and film producer. She started out as the weekend news anchor on WHIO-FM in Dayton, Ohio. She then became News Director at Monticello Media in Charlottesville, Virginia, on November 1, 2007. Neeley anchored the morning news on Newstalk WCHV 1260 AM and 107.5 FM. Paul Neeley Brown (October 4, 1926 – November 26, 2012) was an attorney and United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. He had previously served as the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas.
