''Nectar'' is the second studio album by Japanese singer-songwriter Joji, released on 25 September 2020 via 88rising. It features the singles "Sanctuary", "Run", " Gimme Love", "Daylight" with Diplo, and "Your Man", as well as collaborations with Benee, Lil Yachty, Omar Apollo, Yves Tumor and Rei Brown. Background The album was announced on 17 April 2020 with the single "Gimme Love". It was originally set to be released on 10 July 2020, but on 12 June 2020 Joji announced that the album had been delayed to 25 September 2020 citing the COVID-19 pandemic. Joji (musician)
, known professionally as Joji and formerly for playing the characters Filthy Frank and Pink Guy, is a Japanese singer-songwriter, rapper, former comedian, and YouTuber. Miller's music has been described as a mix between R&B, lo-fi, and trip hop. Miller created "The Filthy Frank Show" on YouTube in 2011 shortly after moving to the United States, gaining recognition for playing oddball characters on the comedy channels TVFilthyFrank, TooDamnFilthy, and DizastaMusic. The channels, which featured comedy hip hop, rants, extreme challenges, and ukulele and dance performances, are noted for their shock humor and prolific virality. "Sanctuary" is a song by Japanese singer-songwriter Joji. It was released on 14 June 2019 through 88rising Records and 12 Tone Music. The track was written by Joji, Daniel Wilson, Justin Raisen and Luke Niccoli, with Raisen handling production. Eoin Glaister directed the song's accompanying music video. Best Kept Secret is an American music production duo, composed of Grammy Nominated record producers Julian Nixon and Craig Balmoris. The duo met in 2006, during their time in high school.
