Neco
Manoel Nunes (March 7, 1895 – May 31, 1977), also known as Neco, was an association football midfielder. With great skill and tenacity, he was the first idol of Corinthians, being the first player to get a statue in the team's gardens (in 1929). As of 2006, Neco is the player who played the longest for Corinthians: 17 years. Called often to the Brazilian national team, he won two South American Championships: 1919 (team's top scorer) and 1922 (top scorer). Playing for Corinthians, he won the Paulista League eight times as a player (being top scorer in 1914 and 1920) and once as a coach (1937). Neco had a quick temper and frequently got involved in fights; his second stint as a manager occurred because he was suspended as a player for 18 games when he beat a referee. He started in the third team of Corinthians at the age of 16 and joined the first team in 1913 (the first year Corinthians participated in official competitions). Manoel Carlos de Lima Filho or simply Neco (born 8 January 1964) is a retired Brazilian footballer who played as a winger and a manager. He played for Sport Recife in the '80s as one of the heroes of the red-black Pernambuco in winning the Union Cup 1987. After this he was a manager. He commanded the Salgueiro, in the years 2008 and 2009. He was still in Ypiranga and Petrolina, returning as coach of Willow in 2013. Neco took over after the fall of Marcelo Martelotte due to poor results in Serie B. Neco Jeborie Brett (born 22 March 1992) is a Jamaican footballer who plays as a forward for USL Championship club Birmingham Legion. Club career Brett began his career in Jamaica with Harbour View and Portmore United before moving to the United States to play college soccer at Robert Morris University. Luis Enrique "Neco" Martínez Rodríguez, (born 11 July 1982) is a retired Colombian footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He is nicknamed "Neco" for the town of his birth. Neço Muko (October 21, 1899 – 1934), also known as Neço Muko Himarjoti, was an Albanian singer and composer. His musical style created a new genre of Albanian iso-polyphony music called ''avaz himariot'', or ''avaz himariotçe'', that became identified with the music of his home region Himarë. Life and work Neço Muko was born on October 21, 1899 in Himarë, southern Albania. After attending primary school, he travelled to the Kingdom of Greece to study in a technical institute. He returned to Albania in 1916, during World War I. Muko learned by himself to play the violin and the mandolin and, in 1923, he started composing vaudevilles.
