Neck Face (born 1984 in Stockton, California) is a graffiti artist known for a naïve and humorous style. His works have been shown in art galleries as well as on the streets. Early life and education Neck Face grew up in a large family and two of his brothers ran a graffiti shop where he spent a lot of time. He began tagging in Stockton, California during his junior year in high school. He went to School of Visual Arts, The School of Visual Arts in New York City, but said "I went to art school for two years and realized that it sucked... and dropped out" Work Neck Face's style can be described as naïve and scratchy. His themes have a bloody, violent and medieval feel to them. Obvious influences are heavy metal music, heavy metal and latrinalia. His gallery works stay true to his style, and include drawings and paintings, as well as metal masks, felt installations, and sculptures. Subvertising
Subvertising (a portmanteau of ''subvert'' and ''advertising'') is the practice of making spoofs or parodies of corporate and political advertisements. The cultural critic Mark Dery coined the term in 1991. Subvertisements are anti-ads that deflect advertising's attempts to turn the people's attention in a given direction. Kevin 'Spanky' Long (born August 6, 1984) is an American professional skateboarder. Long's skateboarding stance is goofy. Early life Long was born in Oak Park, California, United States (U.S.). Long grew up skateboarding in California's Agoura Hills, which is just north of the Valley area and the nickname "Spanky" was created by a friend of Long's older brother. It benefited from the surfwear trend originating in Orange County, California, but was later adopted by the skateboard and hip hop scenes.
