Alexandra Nechita (born August 27, 1985) is a Romanian Americans, Romanian-American Cubism, cubist painter and philanthropist. At age 12 she was dubbed the "Petite Pablo Picasso, Picasso" by the media and the art community. She has been praised for her paintings and vision of art. Early life and education Nechita was born in Vaslui, three months after her father, Niki, escaped from Communist Romania. She and her mother, Viorica, had to wait two years before they were allowed to join him in the United States. The family settled in California, where her father found work as a lab technician and her mother as an office manager. At the age of two, she was working with pen and ink, and by five with watercolors. By her seventh birthday, Oil painting, oil and Acrylic paint, acrylics were her tools. Mihai Nechita-Burculet (born 5 February 1949, Sarca, Romania) is a Romanian painter. He studied Plastic Arts at the Art Academy of Iaşi, History of Arts at the ''Nicolae Grigorescu'' Art Academy of Bucharest. His professors include: Dan Hatmanu, Dimitrie Gavrilean, and Victor Mihailescu-Craiu. Since 1977 he is active as a drawing and art history teacher in Târgu Ocna, Bacǎu.
