Nebo (biblical Town)
Nebo ( ''Nəḇō''; also ''Nabo, Nebai, Nobai'') is a town name mentioned in several passages of the Hebrew Bible (or Old Testament of Christianity). It is used for two towns, one in the territory assigned in the Bible to the Tribe of Reuben, and another in that of the Tribe of Judah. The Reubenite Nebo is mentioned in , and is mentioned between List of minor biblical places#Sibmah, Sibmah and Beon, the latter being an abbreviation of Baal-meon. In the same chapter, verse 38, it is again mentioned between Cariathaim and Baal-meon, and it is found associated with the same names on the Mesha Stele (line 14). These and other indications show that the town was situated in the vicinity of Mount Nebo (Jordan), Mount Nebo; its exact location is identified with Khirbet al-Mukhayyat. It belonged to the rich pasture lands which the tribes of Tribe of Reuben, Reuben and Tribe of Gad, Gad asked of Moses in the distribution of the territory (Numbers 32). "Nebo" (, ) is a song by Croatian singer-songwriter Nina Badrić. It was the Croatian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. The song is also included on her seventh album also titled ''Nebo'' and it serves as the album's fourth single. Background On 10 January 2012, Nina Badrić was announced by the Croatian Radiotelevision as the Croatian representative in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. Elizabeth Homsi, the head of the Entertainment Department at HRT, explained that they were searching for a strong and quality vocal and urban genre, and that is the reason why they chose Nina. Ukraine has been represented at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest since 2006. Ukrainian public broadcaster UA:PBC, has been responsible for the participation. History Ukraine won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with the song " Nebo" performed by Anastasiya Petryk. Nebo, Gwynedd
Nebo is a small village in Gwynedd, Wales. It is adjacent to the small village of Nasareth and near the larger villages of Llanllyfni and Penygroes. Amenities Nebo has a Welsh-medium primary school, Ysgol Gynradd Nebo. As of 2022, there were 15 children enrolled at the school, making it the fourth smallest school in Wales. Betws-y-Coed () is a village and community (Wales), community in Conwy County Borough, Wales. The village is located near the confluence of the River Conwy and the River Llugwy and is on the eastern edge of Snowdonia. The population of the community as of the 2021 census was 476, a decline on the previous census. The name of the village means "prayer-house in the woods", and a monastery is known to have existed in the area in the sixth century. The oldest parts of St Michael's Church, which lies to the north-east of the village, date to the fourteenth or fifteenth century. Nebo is a hamlet in the Community (Wales), community of Llaneilian, Anglesey, in north-west Wales. It is close to the town of Amlwch. The village is east of Penysarn, near the top of a hill known as Mynydd Nebo. Name and origins An early arrival at what is now a small hamlet was Nebo Calvinistic Methodists, Calvinistic Methodist Chapel, which was first established here in 1788. The chapel itself was named after Mount Nebo (now in Jordan), the mountain from which Moses is described as seeing the promised land. In 1823 the chapel was rebuilt, and the success of the chapel by the nineteenth century is shown by a religious survey of 1851. The parish of Llanwenllwyfo (now part of Llaneilian Community) was recorded as having 583 residents.
