Nilüfer - Grup Nazar was a Turkish band that entered the Eurovision Song Contest 1978. The band included Olcayto Ahmet Tuğsuz who went on to compose Turkey's Eurovision entries in 1982 and 1987 and San Marino's entries in 2016 and 2019. Their song "Sevince", written by Dağhan Baydur and Hulki Aktunç came a clear first at the Turkish TV contest, finished at 18th of 20 with only 2 points. The B-side was "Darling", also written by Baydur. Nazar is an Manchester-based Angolan electronic musician. He is known for his distinct mixture of the Angolan genre kuduro and electronic music. His stage name is derived from the Justice song " Waters of Nazareth". Early life Nazar was born in Belgium in 1993. He is the son of Alcides Sakala Simões, a former general of the National Union for the Total Independence of Angola. Nazar lived in suburban Brussels until the age of 14. Growing up the threat of street gangs were a constant. Also in his childhood was a failed kidnapping attempt on his sister. At age 7 Nazar watched a news broadcast wrongly stating that his father had died. By 2002, after the Angolan Civil War, Nazar visited Angola; eventually taking permanent residence in 2007 in the city of Luanda. Ardalan Afshar ( fa, اردلان افشار ; born 20 September 1984 in Tehran), better known by his stage name Nazar, is an Austrian rapper of Iranian descent from Vienna. A nazar (from Arabic , word deriving from Arabic, meaning ''sight'', ''surveillance'', ''attention'', and other related concepts) is an eye-shaped amulet believed to protect against the evil eye. The term is also used in Azerbaijani, Bengali, Hebrew, Hindi, Kurdish, Pashto, Persian, Punjabi, Turkish, Urdu and other languages.
