Nawazesh Uddin
Nawazesh Uddin (24 July 1945 - 23 September 1981) was a Bangladeshi army officer who was executed for his alleged involvement in the assassination of Ziaur Rahman. Career In 1959, Nawazesh joined the Pakistan Army as a student apprentice and was commissioned in the 22nd Baluch Regiment in Sialkot, Punjab in 1966. He was a captain and was stationed in Rangpur when the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War began. On 24 April 1971, the prime minister of the government in exile, Tajuddin Ahmed, stated that Nawazesh and his troops revolted against Pakistan. During the liberation war, Nawazesh was a sub-sector commander in sector 6, in Sahebganj. On 3 November 1975, General Khaled Mosharraf, Lt. Colonel A.T.M. Haider and Colonel Nazmul Huda ousted the Mostaq Ahmed regime and placed Ziaur Rahman under house arrest. Before Zia was arrested, he called his friend Lt. Comilla (; bn, কুমিল্লা, Kumillā, ), officially spelled Cumilla, is the fifth largest city of Bangladesh and second largest in Chittagong division. Abu Taher ( bn, আবু তাহের) (14 November 1938 – 21 July 1976) was a Bengali military serviceman, who served in the Pakistan Army, and later in BDF. He crossed into India around early August and reported to the Indian authorities. After a week screening at Dehradun, India, Taher reported to Kolkata, Bangladesh Provincial government at 8 Theatre Rd. He was ordered to report to Sector 11 of Mukti Bahini under command of Major Ziaur Rahman, he became the sector commander after him. He served in BDF from end of August to 2 November 1971. He was awarded the medal Bir Uttom for his gallantry in the liberation war. He was released from military service by Indian military medical board in Pune, India after his leg was amputated. Khondkar Nazmul Huda
Khondkar Nazmul Huda (died 1975) was a veteran of the Bangladesh Liberation war. The Bangladesh government awarded him the title of Bir Bikrom for his bravery in the war of independence. Early life Huda's ancestral home is in Kodalia village of Nagarkanda upazila of Faridpur district. His father's name was Khandaker Moazzem Hossain and his mother's name was Badrun Nesha Khatun. His wife's name is Nilufar Huda. They have one son Ehtesham Huda and one daughter Nahid Izahar Khan, who was elected as a Member of Parliament of Bangladesh Awami League from the reserved women's seat in the 11th National Assembly.
