Nawab Zain Yar Jung
Mir Alam Ali Khan, also known as Nawab Alam Yar Jung Bahadur, was an Indian judge and politician. Early life and education Alam Ali Khan was the eldest son of Mir Hashim Ali Khan. Nawab Hashim Nawaz Jung, a colonel with the Hyderabad Imperial Service Troops and Nizams regular Forces received education at Madrasa-e-aliya and the Nizam College, where he obtained both a B.A. and a B C L degrees. For a short period he served as a Cadet in the Army. Later, obtained his M.A from Madras University, subsequently, he moved to England to complete his education at Oxford University's Lincoln College here he attained his barrister-at-law and returned to Hyderabad. Salar Jung Family
The Salar Jung family was a noble Hyderabad family under the Nizams, who ruled from 1720 to 1948. They are credited with safeguarding rare artifacts and collections, which are now at Salar Jung Museum. The family were one of the remaining families of nobles other than the three great Paigah nobles, (who were the highest order of nobility under the Nizams) and after them ranked the Umra-e-Uzzam families. The Salar Jung family was one of the Umra-e-Uzzam. Their ancestry dates to the 16th century. By the middle of the 19th century, the family assumed importance as five members served as Grand Viziers to the Nizams. The family resided at the Dewan Devdi palace. The Nizam College is a constituent college of Osmania University established in 1887 during the reign of Mir Mahbub Ali Khan, Asaf Jah VI, in Basheerbagh, Hyderabad, Telangana.
