Navy Children School, Delhi
The Naval Children School of Delhi, India, was established in 1965 and is the flagship of the Naval Public Schools system set up by the Navy Education Society. Ages range from nursery to class XII level. The school was named Naval Primary School, and situated on navy grounds in Chanakyapuri with students aged from nursery to Class III. Mrs. A.K. Chatterjee, wife of the then Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral (later Admiral) Chatterjee, was the first principal of the school, leading a small group of lady teachers; Mrs. Narasimhan was vice-principal. Other pioneer teachers included Mrs. Krishnaswamy and Mrs. Rana. The teachers were drawn from the ranks of NOWA (the Naval Officer's Wives Association) and from the ranks of the surrounding communities. Central Board Of Secondary Education
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national level board of education in India for public and private schools, controlled and managed by the Government of India. Established in 1929 by a resolution of the government, the Board was an experiment towards inter-state integration and cooperation in the sphere of secondary education. There are more than 27,000 schools in India and 240 schools in 28 foreign countries affiliated to the CBSE. All schools affiliated to CBSE follow the NCERT curriculum especially from class 9 to 12. National Cadet Corps (India)
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces with its headquarters in New Delhi, India. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis as a Tri-Services Organisation, comprising the Army, the Navy and the Air Force, engaged in developing the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens.
