Navjivan (newspaper)
''Navjivan India'' (Hindi: India) is an Indian newspaper published by The Associated Journals Ltd who have been publishing the daily ''Navjivan'' since 1 November 1947. Prior to this, a newspaper called ''Navjivan'' was published by Indian activist and leader Mahatma Gandhi, and The Associate Journals started publishing ''Navjivan'' with his permission. Similar to publications like the '' National Herald'' and ''Qaumi Awaz'', ''Navajivan'' was also started with the intention to promote the principles of Mahatma Gandhi's Indian independence movement and Jawaharlal Nehru’s vision of modern India. The main objective of the newspaper was to inform and influence readers who supported the creation of democratic, liberal, and modern India. ''Qaumi Awaz'' () is an Urdu language newspaper published in India by Associated Journals Limited, which was started by Jawaharlal Nehru in November 1937. The ''National Herald'' is an Indian newspaper published by The Associated Journals Ltd and owned by Young India Limited a company by Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi. It was founded by India's first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru in 1938 as a tool to win independence. It was banned by British government in 1942 during the Quit India movement. It was one of the major English language newspapers in India after the end of the British Raj, and occasionally published op-eds authored by Nehru. The newspaper ceased operations in 2008 for financial reasons. In 2016, it was relaunched as a digital publication. The newspaper has been linked to and controlled by members of the Indian National Congress political party. Indian Independence Movement
The Indian independence movement was a series of historic events with the ultimate aim of ending British Raj, British rule in India. It lasted from 1857 to 1947. The first nationalistic revolutionary movement for Indian independence emerged from Bengal. Spanish Flu Pandemic
The 1918–1920 influenza pandemic, commonly known by the misnomer Spanish flu or as the Great Influenza epidemic, was an exceptionally deadly global influenza pandemic caused by the H1N1 influenza A virus. The earliest documented case was March 1918 in Kansas, United States, with further cases recorded in France, Germany and the United Kingdom in April. Two years later, nearly a third of the global population, or an estimated 500 million people, had been infected in four successive waves.
