Naveed Mukhtar
Naveed Mukhtar is a retired three-star Pakistan Army Lieutenant General and former spymaster who served as the Director General of the ISI in office from 11 December 2016 until his retirement on 25 October 2018. Before his appointment as Director General of the ISI, Mukhtar commanded the V Corps. He is credited for having played a pivotal role in the success of Operation Lyari. Personal life Mukhtar belongs to an Punjabi family from the Nankana Sahib region of Punjab. Career Military Mukhtar was commissioned in the Armored Corps regiment in 1983. He joined the Army in the 68th Pakistan Military Academy course. He grew his ranks until Major with 13 Lancers. He has commanded a Mechanized Division. Naveed Mukhtar possesses a vast experience in the field of intelligence. He had also headed the counter-terrorism wing of the ISI in Islamabad. Army Welfare Trust (AWT), ( ur, ) also known as Askari Group of Companies, is a Pakistani conglomerate company. It is based in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. The Army Welfare Trust, along with Fauji Foundation, are run by ex-military personnel of the Pakistan Army. Inter-Services Intelligence
The Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI; ur, , bayn khadamatiy mukhabarati) is the premier intelligence agency of Pakistan. It is responsible for gathering, processing, and analyzing any information from around the world that is deemed relevant to Pakistan's national security. As one of the principal members of the Pakistani Intelligence Community, Pakistani intelligence community, the ISI reports to Director-General of Inter-Services Intelligence, its Director-General and is primarily focused on providing intelligence to the government of Pakistan, Pakistani government. Nankana Sahib
Nankana Sahib () is a city and capital of Nankana Sahib District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is named after the first Guru of the Sikhs, Guru Nanak, who was born in the city and first began preaching here. Nankana Sahib is the most important religious site for the Sikh religion. An officer of three-star rank is a senior commander in many of the armed services holding a rank described by the NATO code of OF-8.
