Coast Guard Base Kodiak is a major shore installation of the United States Coast Guard, located in Kodiak, Alaska. The largest tenant unit on the base is Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak, Air Station Kodiak. It is also the home port for several cutters. Historic elements that it includes are the Kodiak Naval Operating Base, Fort Greely, and Fort Abercrombie State Historic Site (Kodiak Island, Alaska), Fort Abercrombie. The station is the subject of the series ''Coast Guard Alaska'' on The Weather Channel and is prominently featured in the 2006 film ''The Guardian (2006 film), The Guardian'' and is frequently referenced in the Discovery Channel series ''Deadliest Catch''. Kodiak Station is a census-designated place (CDP) in Kodiak Island Borough, Alaska, United States. At the 2020 census the population was 1,673, up from 1,301 in 2010. Geography Kodiak Station is located at (57.750215, -152.506441). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of , of which is land and , or 25.06%, is water.
