Natomas is a community in northwestern Sacramento, in the U.S. state of California. North Natomas was historically an agricultural area on the floodplains of the Sacramento River, but grew quickly starting in the mid-1990s with extensive residential development, office park, and retail construction. South Natomas developed predominantly as residential subdivisions from 1950 to 1980, but in 1982, amended its community plan to permit 2.4 million square feet of new office parks along I-5. Inderkum High School
Inderkum High School is an American public high school located in Sacramento, California, United States serving grades 9–12 in the Natomas Unified School District. It is an International Baccalaureate World School located in the northwestern neighborhoods of Sacramento. History Inderkum High School opened in 2004 with Ron Zimbalist as the principal and Darrin Slojkowski as the assistant principal. A few teachers from the first year remain. Its name comes from Frank Inderkum, a dairy farmer who owned the land the school is on. The mascot is a Tiger. School colors are blue and gold. Inderkum’s non-charter feeder middle schools are Natomas Middle (partner MYP school), Heron K–8, and Paso Verde K-8. Natomas High School
Natomas High School is a high school in the Natomas Unified School District located in the Natomas neighborhood of Sacramento. It is located at 3301 Fong Ranch Road. The school mascot is Nelly the Nighthawk. History Opened in 1997, the school is the first high school built in the Natomas Unified School District. A total of 1,300 students started attending the school that year, although it was built to accommodate 1,800 and has a total capacity of 2,200. For the previous three years, high school students in the district attended classes on the campus of Leroy Greene Middle School. In 1998, the school started a Business and Professions Academy. By 2001, eighty students in the program would regularly come to school in dresses, suits and ties or other clothing considered "business appropriate".

Leroy Greene Academy
Leroy Greene Academy (usually abbreviated "LGA") is an American public high school and middle school in Sacramento, California, serving grades 6–12 in the Natomas Unified School District. History Leroy Greene Academy was first opened on August 15, 2012. It was named after the politician Leroy F. Greene in honor of his contribution to public schools with the School Facilities Act of 1998. The school released the following statement on why the Natomas Unified School District decided to name Leroy Greene Academy after him: Leroy F. Greene Middle School Leroy Greene Academy was preceded by Leroy F. Greene Middle School, which was opened on July 1, 1980, serving grades 6-8.
