Natnael Berhane
Natnael Berhane ( ti, ናትናኤል ብርሃነ; born 5 January 1991 in Asmara) is an Eritrean professional road bicycle racer, who currently rides for amateur team AlShafar Jumeirah. He is a two time African cycling champion in 2012 and 2013. Career In 2013, Berhane joined . Berhane won the queen stage of the 2013 Tour of Turkey by powering away from the small lead group in the last 200 meters of a long, steep climb. With the provisional suspension of Mustafa Sayar for an earlier EPO positive in the Tour of Algeria, the first place on the General Classification was awarded to Berhane. In early 2014 Turkish Cycling Federation stripped off Mustafa and announced Berhane's victory. Eritrean Name
The naming convention used in Eritrea and Ethiopia does not have family names and typically consists of an individual personal name and a separate patronymic. This is similar to Arabic name, Arabic, Icelandic name, Icelandic, and Somali name, Somali naming conventions. Traditionally for Ethiopians and Eritreans the lineage is traced paternally; legislation has been passed in Eritrea that allows for this to be done on the maternal side as well. The Tour of Eritrea ( ti, ዙር ኤርትራ, it, Giro dell’ Eritrea) is a multistage bicycle race held annually throughout Eritrea. History The first race was staged in 1946. It was promoted by the Italian community of Eritrea with the Italian name ''Primo Giro dell'Eritrea''. Its inaugural Tour of Eritrea had 34 participants and was won by Nunzio Barrilà of the team A.C. Piemonte. It had five stages, with a very difficult ''Premio della Montagna'' (Stage of the Mountain). In 1947, the second ''Giro dell'Eritrea'' was not allowed because of political reasons related to a growing guerrilla war in British occupied Eritrea. 2017 Giro D'Italia
The 2017 Giro d'Italia was the 100th edition of the Giro d'Italia, one of cycling's Grand Tour races. The race started on 5 May in Alghero on the island of Sardinia, and ended on 28 May in Milan. Career In 2013, he won the sixth stage of the Tour of Turkey by powering away on the climb to Selçuk in an improbably large gear, leading to disbelief and insinuations from the live TV commentary team and other riders in the race, including Marcel Kittel, who tweeted that he was "not often in my life so angry about a result of someone else".
