''The Native American Times'' was a statewide newspaper Tahlequah, Oklahoma which began print circulation in December 2009. As Native Times it continues to publish original articles online as well as other articles from competitors and reputable news agencies. A singular voice for the 585 "Federally Recognized" and various other Indian Tribes across North America, the ''Times'' was systemically downsized due to loss of print ad revenue. The ''Times'' also provides a vital function for native businesses, entrepreneurs, artists and professionals to advertise and network and is partnered with the American Indian Chamber of Commerce as well as various other government and state agencies. Nativetimes.com, archives back issues in PDF format for free and was operated by Lisa Snell, a member of the Cherokee Nation, who served as the Publisher for the paper. Ryan Zinke
Ryan Keith Zinke (; born November 1, 1961) is an American politician and businessman. Zinke, a member of the Republican Party, served in the Montana Senate from 2009 to 2013 and as the U.S. representative for Montana's at-large congressional district from 2015 to 2017. He was appointed United States Secretary of the Interior by President Donald Trump in 2017 and served until his resignation in 2019, which followed a series of ethics scandals. Zinke played college football at the University of Oregon and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in geology. He also has a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in global leadership. He was a U.S. Navy SEAL from 1986 until 2008, retiring with the rank of commander.
