National Television Festival
The National Television Festival (Vietnamese: Liên hoan truyền hình toàn quốc) is an annual Vietnamese festival where people in the country's television industry meet and share experiences, also review the works of each others during a year and be honoured for their achievements. It is the biggest television event in Vietnam. The festival is chaired by Vietnam Television Station, each year in collaboration with a local television station that hosts. The Hanoi International Film Festival (Vietnamese: Liên hoan phim quốc tế Hà Nội), short form as HANIFF is a biennial film festival held in Hanoi, Vietnam around October or November. Founded in 2010 as Vietnam International Film Festival, it is the first international film festival in Vietnam, which introduces new films of all genres, including feature, short, documentary, animated to the audience. Since 2016, it has expanded its entry to all cinemas of countries and regions around the world, instead of just films in the Asia-Pacific region as before. The Vietnam Film Festival ( Vietnamese: Liên hoan phim Việt Nam), founded in 1970, is a domestic film festival of Vietnam. It is considered as the major event of Cinema of Vietnam with awards for numerous categories ranging from feature film to documentary film, animated film. The festival is held for each two or three years in different host cities all over Vietnam. The 40th National Television Festival (Vietnamese: Liên hoan truyền hình toàn quốc lần thứ 40) was held from December 13 to December 16, 2020, in Hanoi. It reviewed and honoured best works of Vietnam's television industry in 2020. Event Participation This year's festival attracted 422 entries in 9 categories. The 39th National Television Festival (Vietnamese: Liên hoan truyền hình toàn quốc lần thứ 39) was held from December 11 to December 14, 2019, in Nha Trang City, Khánh Hòa Province. It reviewed and honoured best works of Vietnam's television industry in 2019. Event Participation More than 1,200 delegates from Radio - Television stations and television channels throughout the country attended the Festival. There are 464 works by authors and groups of authors. In which, the reportage genre attracted the most participating works with nearly 150 works.
