National Socialists – Left Of The 21st Century
The National Socialists – Left of the 21st century ( cs, Národní socialisté – levice 21. století, NÁR.SOC.) also known as Left 21 () was a left-wing political party in the Czech Republic founded in October 2011 by Jiří Paroubek, former Prime Minister and former leader of the Czech Social Democratic Party (ČSSD). Former Prime Minister Jiří Paroubek was elected chairman of his newly founded party at the constituent congress on 26 November. In the year 2012, the party had two representatives in the 200-seat Chamber of Deputies, Paroubek and Jiří Šlégr (ex-ČSSD). The party name was a reference to the historical Czech National Social Party, and as such they did not advocate for Nazism. NÁR.SOC. wanted to follow up the tradition of the socialist nationalists in the First Czechoslovak Republic. Jiří Paroubek
Jiří Paroubek (; born 21 August 1952) is a Czech politician, who was the prime minister of the Czech Republic from April 2005 to August 2006. He was also the leader of the Czech Social Democratic Party (ČSSD) from 2006 until his resignation following the 2010 legislative election. Early life and career Paroubek was born in Olomouc and attended Jan Neruda Grammar School. He entered politics in 1970 at the age of 18, joining the Czechoslovak Socialist Party, a member party of the Czechoslovak National Front. He reached the lower levels of the party hierarchy before leaving the party in 1986. Paroubek spent his one-year military service as an army food services supervisor in the southern Bohemian city of Prachatice. The Czech National Socialist Party ( cs, Česká strana národně socialistická), abbreviated to ČSNS 2005, was a centre-left nationalist political party in the Czech Republic. 2013 Czech Legislative Election
Early legislative elections were held in the Czech Republic on 25 and 26 October 2013, seven months before the constitutional expiry of the elected parliament's four-year legislative term. The government elected in May 2010 led by Prime Minister Petr Nečas was forced to resign on 17 June 2013, after a corruption and bribery scandal. A caretaker government led by Prime Minister Jiří Rusnok was then appointed by the President, but narrowly lost a vote of confidence on 7 August, leading to its resignation six days later. The Chamber of Deputies then passed a motion of dissolution on 20 August, requiring new elections to be called within 60 days of presidential assent. The President gave his assent on 28 August, scheduling the elections for 25 and 26 October 2013. Workers' Party of Social Justice ( cs, Dělnická strana sociální spravedlnosti) is a Czech political party, often described as the major far-right extremist party in the Czech Republic. The party is not represented in any legislative body in the Czech Republic and its biggest electoral success so far has been a gain of 1,14% in the Czech legislative election in 2010. Legislative elections were held in the Czech Republic on 20 and 21 October 2017. All 200 members of the Chamber of Deputies were elected and Andrej Babiš of ANO 2011, also the leader of the resultant government, became the Prime Minister. Jiří Šlégr
Jiří Šlégr (; born 30 May 1971) is a Czech former professional ice hockey defenceman, and was a member of the 2001–02 Detroit Red Wings Stanley Cup championship team after being acquired in a late-season trade. Šlégr was inducted into the Czech Ice Hockey Hall of Fame on December 12, 2019. In 2010, Šlégr, a candidate of the Czech Social Democratic Party, was elected into the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. Playing career Šlégr was drafted 23rd overall by the Vancouver Canucks in the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. Šlégr played parts of three seasons with the Canucks, before being traded to the Edmonton Oilers for Roman Oksiuta, where he played for parts of two seasons. Social Democracy ( cs, Sociální demokracie, SOCDEM), known as the Czech Social Democratic Party ( cs, Česká strana sociálně demokratická, links=no, ČSSD) until 10 June 2023, is a social-democratic political party in the Czech Republic.
