De Beque, Colorado
The Town of De Beque is a statutory town located in Mesa County, Colorado. The population was 493 at the time of the 2020 census. De Beque is a part of the Grand Junction, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town consists of a small grid, including a historic downtown featuring a town hall, a tavern, and several commercial businesses in historic structures. The surrounding streets include houses, several churches, and a school. History The town is located in a region historically occupied by the Ute people. White settlers arrived in the region in 1880. The town is named after Dr. W.A.E. de Beque who explored the area with several companions in 1884 while looking for a suitable location for a ranch. Grand Junction Regional Airport is northeast of Grand Junction, in Mesa County, Colorado, United States. CAF Rocky Mountain Wing Museum
CAF Rocky Mountain Wing (RMW) Museum is one of 75 local detachments of the national Commemorative Air Force (CAF) non-profit aviation association dedicated to ''Honoring American Military Aviation through Flight, Exhibit and Remembrance.'' The Museum is located at the Grand Junction Regional Airport, Colorado, and contains artifacts and exhibits from World War II, Korean War, Korean, and Vietnam War, Vietnam wars. In addition they operate two aircraft which are part of the CAF's fleet of over 170 vintage warbirds. Loma is an unincorporated town, post office, and census-designated place (CDP) located in and governed by Mesa County, Colorado, United States. It is part of the Grand Junction, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Loma post office has the ZIP Code 81524. At the 2020 census, the population of the Loma CDP was 1,293.
