Wells Township is a township (Pennsylvania), township in Fulton County, Pennsylvania, Fulton County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 495 at the 2020 census. Wells Township was initially settled in 1760. It was originally known as Aughwick Township when it was incorporated in 1849. The name was changed to Wells Township on April 2, 1850. History The Woodvale Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992. George Croghan moved to the area in 1753 and built a home, partly to escape creditors after suffering severe losses to his business as a trader in Ohio and Kentucky. Pennsylvania Route 75 (PA 75) is a north–south state highway located in central Pennsylvania. The southern terminus is at the Mason–Dixon line in Montgomery Township, where the road continues into Maryland as Maryland Route 494 (MD 494). The northern terminus is at an interchange with U.S. Route 22 (US 22) and US 322 northeast of Port Royal. PA 75 is a two-lane undivided road that passes through the Ridge-and-Valley Appalachians in Franklin and Juniata counties. The route heads north from the Maryland border in Franklin County to Mercersburg, where it runs concurrent with PA 16 and PA 416.
