Richburg is a town in Chester County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 275 at the 2010 census, down from 332 at the 2000 census. History The Elliott House and Landsford Plantation House are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Geography Richburg is located in east-central Chester County at (34.717374, -81.019635). Interstate 77 passes just west of the town, with access from Exits 62 and 65. I-77 leads north to Charlotte and south to Columbia. South Carolina Highway 9 passes through the northeast side of the town, leading west to Chester, the county seat, and east to Lancaster. This is a List of National Historic Landmarks in South Carolina, United States. The United States' National Historic Landmark (NHL) program is operated under the auspices of the National Park Service, and recognizes buildings, sites, structures, districts, and objects according to a list of criteria of national significance. Lando, South Carolina
Lando is a rural unincorporated community in Chester County, South Carolina, United States and a former textile village. Lando has a post office with the ZIP Code of 29724; the population of the ZCTA for 29724 was 89 at the 2000 census. History Settled in the 1760s, and called Walker's Mill, the future Lando was a prime location for watermills along Fishing Creek. For most of the 20th century, the main employer in the village was Manetta Mills, one of the largest blanket makers in the world. South Carolina Highway 901
South Carolina Highway 901 (SC 901) is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of South Carolina. It serves as a slower alternate rural route to Interstate 77 (I-77) and the western bypass of Rock Hill. Route description SC 901 begins along SC 200 near I-77. Going north, it hovers to the west and then east of I-77 and then passes through Richburg. After entering York County, it has its own interchange with I-77, then proceeds to form the western bypass of Rock Hill.
