The National Indigenous Music Awards 2013 are the 10th annual National Indigenous Music Awards. The nominations were announced on 7 July 2013 and the awards ceremony was held on 10 August 2013. Michael Chugg from Chugg Entertainment said "NIMA has come a long way in a short time and is exceptional fertile ground for finding and breaking new indigenous artists. NIMA is gathering much respect both nationally and overseas for the professionalism it is bringing to the indigenous music scene." Shellie Morris, the best female musicians for 2004 and 2005 NT Music Awards, said "These awards are becoming more significant every year, it's a great time for Indigenous talent to gain recognition for their efforts. Artists and their management should use this as an opportunity that is knocking on their door right now." Yolanda Be Cool are an Australian music duo made up of Andrew Stanley and Matthew Handley. Biography In 2010, they collaborated with Australian producer DCUP (real name Duncan MacLennan) to release an international single "We No Speak Americano" on the indie Australian label Sweat It Out, sampling on a 1956 Neapolitan language hit " Tu vuò fà l'americano" by Renato Carosone and written by Carosone and Nicola "Nisa" Salerno. "We No Speak Americano" sold over 5 million copies and amassed over 200 million YouTube views worldwide. Bayini
"Bayini" is 'spiritual love song' performed in Yolngu Matha, an indigenous language of Northern Australia. It is track three on Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu's album, '' Rrakala'', which was released by Skinny Fish Music on April 15, 2011. Meaning According to the National Museum of Australia, "Bayini" are light-skinned mythological beings who were also involved in collecting and curing trepang (an edible sea cucumber). In literature, the first non-Aboriginal visitors to the Arnhem Land coast are referred to as Bayini. In songs that record and preserve their traditions, Aboriginal people of Arnhem land tell of the Bayini gypsies with copper coloured skin who visited their shores. ''Into the Bloodstream'' is the sixth studio album by Australian singer songwriter Archie Roach. The album was released on 19 October 2012 and peaked at number 49 on the ARIA Charts in December 2012. The album deals with Roach losing his life partner Ruby Hunter in February 2010, and his own health issues including having a stroke, being diagnosed with cancer and having half a lung removed. Sir George Ivan Morrison (born 31 August 1945), known professionally as Van Morrison, is a Northern Irish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose recording career spans seven decades. He has won two Grammy Awards.
