Hemanta Kumar Mukhopadhyay
Hemanta Mukhopadhyay (16 June 1920 – 26 September 1989), known professionally as Hemant Kumar and Hemanta Mukherjee, was a legendary Indian music composer and playback singer who primarily sang in Bengali and Hindi, as well as other Indian languages like Marathi, Gujarati, Odia, Assamese, Tamil, Punjabi, Bhojpuri, Konkani, Sanskrit and Urdu. He was an artist of Bengali and Hindi film music, Rabindra Sangeet, and many other genres. ''Mere Huzoor'' () is a 1968 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film, produced by Malik Chand Kochar and Vinod Kumar under the Movie Mughals banner and directed by Vinod Kumar. The 16th National Film Awards, presented by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, India to felicitate the best of Indian Cinema released in 1968. Ceremony took place at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi on 13 February 1970. "Mere Desh Ki Dharti" () is an Indian Hindi song from the Bollywood film '' Upkar'' (1967). The lyrics of the song were written by Gulshan Kumar Mehta, and the music was composed by Kalyanji–Anandji. Mahendra Kapoor was the playback singer. This is a patriotic song, and was picturised on Manoj Kumar in the film. The song earned Kumar the nickname Mr. Bharat.
