National Film Award For Best Cinematography
The National Film Award for Best Cinematography is one of the National Film Awards presented annually by the Directorate of Film Festivals, the organisation set up by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, India. It is one of several awards presented for feature films and awarded with Rajat Kamal (Silver Lotus). The award was instituted in 1967, at 15th National Film Awards and awarded annually for films produced in the year across the country, in all Indian languages. Till 34th National Film Awards, awards were given for Black-and-white as well as Color motion picture film. Supratim Bhol
Supratim Bhol (born 10 December 1979) is an Indian cinematographer known for his works in Hindi cinema and Bengali cinema. He has also worked in other regional language projects in Haryanvi, Odia and Chhattisgarhi. Supratim graduated from the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) and debuted as a Cinematographer with the film Colours of Innocence (2016) directed by Manas Mukul Pal, a National Award winner. His remarkable works till now are Panchlait, national award winner Avijatrik, Aparajito, Abyakto, Lomad and national award winner Dada Lakhmi. Balu Mahendra
Balanathan Benjamin Mahendran (19 May 1939 13 February 2014), commonly known as Balu Mahendra, was a Sri Lankan-born Indian cinematographer, director, screenwriter and film editor who worked predominantly in Tamil cinema. Widely regarded as an auteur, Mahendra usually scripted and edited his films apart from shooting them. He was the recipient of six National Film Awards (including two for Best Cinematography), five Filmfare Awards South and several state government awards. Mahendran developed a passion for photography and literature at a young age. ''Thillana Mohanambal'' () is a 1968 Indian Tamil-language musical drama film written, directed and produced by A. P. Nagarajan. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Padmini and T. S. Balaiah, with A. V. ''Saraswatichandra'' is a black-and-white Hindi film released in 1968. It starred Nutan and Manish among others and was directed by Govind Saraiya. Nariman Irani
Nariman A. Irani (? 10 December 1977) was a Bollywood cinematographer and film producer. He is most known for producing ''Don'' (1978) made under his banner Nariman Films and for his work as cinematographer in Chhailla Babu (1977). He died in an accident, even before ''Don'' was even completed, eventually the film was a big hit and led to the ''Don'' film franchise. The 16th National Film Awards, presented by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, India to felicitate the best of Indian Cinema released in 1968. Ceremony took place at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi on 13 February 1970. With 16th National Film Awards, three new awards were introduced, mainly for Best Film on Family Welfare, Best Child Artist and Best Film Lyric Writer.
