No To Brussels - National Democracy or simply the National Democracy ( cs, Národní demokracie, short ND) is a national-conservative and eurosceptic political party in the Czech Republic. The party was founded in fall 2005 as "Law and Justice - Yes to traditional family, No to corruption and criminality" ( cs, Právo a Spravedlnost - ANO tradiční rodině, NE korupci a kriminalitě) or simply the "Law and Justice", inspired by Polish party Prawo i Sprawiedliwość. On 11 January 2014, the party transformed into the current No To Brussels - National Democracy, to bruit continuity with first Prime Minister of Czechoslovakia, Karel Kramář, and his Czechoslovak National Democracy. Adam Beales (born 11 October 1999), known as Adam B, is a YouTuber, actor, and television host from Derry, Northern Ireland. He is the former co-presenter of the CBBC shows ''The Dog Ate My Homework'' and ''Blue Peter''. Beales has over 3 million subscribers on YouTube and has collaborated with Disney. Karel Kramář
Karel Kramář (27 December 1860 – 26 May 1937) was a Czech politician. He was a representative of the major Czech political party, the Young Czechs, in the Austrian Imperial Council from 1891 to 1915 (where he was also known as Karl Kramarsch), becoming the party leader in 1897. During the First World War, Kramář was imprisoned for treason against Austria-Hungary but later released under an amnesty. In 1918, he headed the Czechoslovak National Committee in Prague, which declared independence on 28 October. Kramář became the first Prime Minister of the new state but resigned over policy differences less than a year later. Although he remained a member of the National Assembly until his death in 1937, his conservative nationalism was out of tune with the main political establishment, represented by the figures of Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk and Edvard Beneš. 2018 Czech Presidential Election
Presidential elections were held in the Czech Republic in January 2018. The first round took place on 12 and 13 January. As no candidate won a majority, a run-off election between the top two candidates, Jiří Drahoš and President Miloš Zeman, was held on 26 and 27 January 2018. In the first round, voters chose between nine candidates who qualified for the elections either by gathering 50,000 signatures from the public, 10 signatures from Senators or 20 signatures from members of the Chamber of Deputies (MPs). Incumbent president Miloš Zeman, running for re-election for his second and last term, finished first with 38.57%, followed by former President of the Czech Academy of Sciences Jiří Drahoš, who received 26.60%. 2019 European Parliament Election In The Czech Republic
The 2019 European Parliament election in the Czech Republic was held on 24 and 25 May 2019, electing the 21 members of the Czech delegation to the European Parliament as part of the European elections held across the European Union. The result was a victory of the populist ruling party ANO ( ALDE), with 21.18 per cent and 6 seats, 2 more seats than in 2014 election. Followed by conservative ODS ( ECR), with 14.54 per cent and 4 seats, marking a notable growth in the election. The Pirate Party also made major gains. SPD ( ENF) gained seats in its first European election, while KDU-ČSL (EPP), TOP 09/ STAN ( EPP) and KSČM ( GUE/NGL) lost seats.
