National Congress Party (Sudan)
The National Congress Party (NCP; ar, المؤتمر الوطني, ') was a major political party that dominated domestic politics in Sudan from its foundation until the Sudanese Revolution. After the split of the National Islamic Front (NIF), the party was divided into two parties. The Islamic Movement led by its secretary Hassan al-Turabi and the military commanded by Omar al-Bashir launched a military coup against Prime Minister Sadiq al-Mahdi and President Ahmed al-Mirghani in 1989. Omar al-Bashir, who also became president of the National Congress Party and Sudan, seized power and began institutionalising Sharia at a national level. After a military coup in 1969, Sudanese President Gaafar Nimeiry abolished all other political parties, effectively dissolving the Islamic parties. The National Ittihadi Congress Party (french: Parti du Congrès National Ittihadi; ar, حزب المؤتمر الوطني الاتحادي) is a political party in Morocco. History and profile The party was founded in October 2001. The founders were Abdelmajid Bouzoubaa and Noubir Amaoui. In the legislative elections in Morocco, elections, 27 September 2002, the party won 1 out of 325 seats. In 2004 the party formed an alliance with Loyalty to Democracy party, the Unified Socialist Party (Morocco), Unified Socialist Left (GSU), the Party of the Socialist Vanguard (PADS), and the Democratic Way. Nationalist Congress Party
The Nationalist Congress Party ( NCP) is one of the nine national parties in India. The party generally supports Indian nationalism and Gandhian secularism. It is the largest opposition party in Maharashtra and is also a significant party in other states. Party formation and performance The NCP was formed on 10 June 1999, by Sharad Pawar, P. A. Sangma, and Tariq Anwar after they were expelled from the Indian National Congress on 20 May 1999, for disputing the right of Italian-born Sonia Gandhi to lead the party. When the NCP formed, the Indian Congress (Socialist) – Sarat Chandra Sinha party merged into the new party.
