National Championship
A national championship(s) is the top achievement for any sport or competition, contest within a league of a particular nation or nation state. The title is usually awarded by contests, ranking systems, stature, ability, etc. This determines the best team, individual (or other entity) in a particular nation and in a particular field. The given name Eric, Erich, Erikk, Erik, Erick, or Eirik is derived from the Old Norse name ''Eiríkr'' (or ''Eríkr'' in Old East Norse due to monophthongization). Jürgen Mandl
Jürgen Mandl (born August 19, 1965 in Graz) is an Austrian footballer (soccer player), decathlete, and bobsledder who competed from the mid-1970s to the early 1990s. Mandl started out competing for the Sturm Graz club for six years before switching to decathlon in 1980. He earned his best decathlon score of 7646 in 1986 and was national champion the previous year. A back injury prevented him from competing in the World Championships in Athletics though he did compete at the 1986 European Championships in Athletics in Stuttgart, West Germany in the decathlon, but did not finish. but by then Mandl switched to bobsleigh where he found a degree of success. Wolfgang is a German male given name traditionally popular in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Georg Werthner
Dr. Georg Werthner (born April 7, 1956, in Linz) is a decathlete from Austria, who was the first athlete to finish four Olympic decathlons. In the 1988 Olympics, Daley Thompson crossed the finish-line a little more than 18 seconds after him to become the second athlete to do this. Werthner was the Austrian national champion in the decathlon 8 times (1975, 1977, 1979, 1980, 1982, 1984, 1986, and 1988), along with being individual event champion in long jump (1977), triple jump (1977, 1979, 1980, and 1982), javelin throw (1979-1981, 1983, 1984, and 1988). Running with his ULC Linz club, he was a member of their 1980 and 1981 winning 4x100 metres relay team, and their 1980 4x400 metres relay team. He is now part of their hall of fame, still holding club records for high jump, pole vault, javelin throw, pentathlon and decathlon. He switched to the Zehnkampf-Union decathlon club in 1984. Daniel Golubovic (born 29 November 1993) is an Australian decathlete. Golubovic won silver medal at 2022 Commonwealth Games. Career Golubovic is a 2012 graduate of Mira Costa High School, 2016 alum of University of California, San Diego and 2017 MBA graduate of Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. In 2020, Golubovic was approved to represent Athletics Australia in international competition. Golubovic's Team USA experiences were highlighted by 2018 U.S. Track & Field Championships, 4th (decathlon) & 2017 NCAA Division I Championships, 11th (decathlon). David Brock is an American liberal political consultant, author, and commentator who founded the media watchdog group Media Matters for America. He has been described by ''Time'' as "one of the most influential operatives in the Democratic Party". Brock began his career as a right-wing investigative reporter during the 1990s. He wrote the book ''The Real Anita Hill'' and the Troopergate story, which led to Paula Jones filing a lawsuit against Bill Clinton. Jake Stein (born 17 January 1994) is an Australian rules footballer with the Gold Coast Suns in the Australian Football League (AFL) and a former track and field athlete specialising in the decathlon. He previously played for the Greater Western Sydney Giants. In 2014 Stein won his first National open title and was chosen to represent Australia at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
