''National Champions'' is a 2021 American sports drama film directed by Ric Roman Waugh, based on the play of the same name by Adam Mervis. The film stars Stephan James, J. K. Ric Roman Waugh (born February 20, 1968) is an American film director, writer, producer, actor, and former stuntman. He is known for his work in ''Felon'' (2008), ''Snitch'' (2013), and '' Shot Caller'' (2017).
