National Alliance (Pakistan)
The National Alliance was a coalition of Millat Party, Sindh Democratic Alliance, National Peoples Party, National Awami Party (Wali) and Sindh National Front in Pakistan. It was headed by former Pakistani Prime Minister Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi, who was also the head of his own National Peoples Party (NPP). At the 2002 legislative elections in Pakistan, held on 20 October 2002, the alliance won 4.6% of the popular vote and 16 out of 342 elected members. Millat Party
The Millat Party (Urdu: ملت پارٹی) was a political party in Pakistan, formed by Sardar Farooq Ahmad Khan Leghari, former president of Pakistan, once he was no longer the president, and needed a platform to survive politically. He had the money to start a small-scale party. Because of his support to the establishment, a number of people joined him. Millat Party was part of the ruling coalition where it is represented by Sardar Farooq Leghari's son, Owais Leghari. At the last legislative elections on 20 October 2002, the party was part of the National Alliance that won 4.6% of the popular vote, and 12 out of 272 elected members. Sindh Democratic Alliance
The Sindh Democratic Alliance was a regional political party in Pakistan. The party was created by the bureaucrat-turned-politician Imtiaz Shaikh in mid-2001. He was formerly a right-hand man of Jam Sadiq Ali, who was the Chief Minister of Sindh from 1990 until he was murdered in 1992. At the behest of the military government, he resigned from the government post and formed SDA. Arbab Ghulam Rahim, the former chief minister Sindh and former Speaker Sindh Assembly Syed Jalal Mehmood Shah were also one of the leaders of SDA. National Peoples Party (Pakistan)
The National People's Party (NPP) ( ur, ) was a political party located in Pakistan (most active in the province of Sindh and southern parts of Punjab). It was founded in 1986 by Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi after he had a disagreement with Benazir Bhutto, subsequently leaving the Pakistan Peoples Party. In the 2008 Pakistani general elections the party only managed to win one seat in the National Assembly. Ghulam Mustafa's son Ghulam Murtaza Khan Jatoi won the election in NA-211 Naushahro Feroze-I, holding the seat won in 2002 elections by Dr. Abdul Ghaffar Khan Jemms under the National Alliance banner. Sindh National Front (S.N.F.) was a political party active in the province of Sindh, Pakistan. It was led by Mumtaz Bhutto, the cousin of Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, ex-Prime Minister of Pakistan, who was hanged by President of Pakistan, President Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq. Ghulam Mustafa ‘Joseph’Jatoi (Sindhi:غلام مصطفا جتوئي) ( ur, ) (14 August 1931 – 20 November 2009) was a Pakistani politician who served as the Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan for three months, from 6 August 1990 to 6 November 1990.
