Nathan Wood (rugby League)
Nathan Wood (born 24 January 1972 in Darlinghurst, New South Wales) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer. Wood played in almost every position during his career, from to . Playing career Wood was a Souths junior but made his first-grade début for Balmain in round 17 of the 1993 season. Between 1993 and 2001 he played for the Balmain Tigers, Sydney Roosters and the New Zealand Warriors in the NSWRL premiership, Australian Rugby League and National Rugby League. He then moved to the Super League and played for the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and the Warrington Wolves. He retired at the end of 2005 due to injury, moving back to Australia to care for his two sons. During his Warrington career Nat was in the victorious team that played the final game at Wilderspool Stadium in 2003 and was the first try scorer at the new Halliwell Jones Stadium in 2004, both games were against his old club Wakefield. Nathan Theodore Wood (born 4 October 1974) is a former English cricketer. Wood was a left-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium. He was born at Thornhill Edge, Yorkshire. Domestic playing career Young England Wood represented Young England at U14, U15 and U17 levels, and played in 4 Youth Tests and a Youth One Day International for England Under-19s in 1993 against the West Indies and in 1994 against Sri Lanka. Wood toured twice with the England U18's to South Africa and Denmark, and once with the England U19's to Sri Lanka scoring 53 in the First Test at Columbo and sharing a century opening stand with Michael Vaughan. Lancashire C.C.C Wood joined the Old Trafford playing staff in 1992 making his second XI debut against Kent, and was a member of the 1997 County Championship winning side. Nathan Dean Joshua Wood-Gordon (born 31 May 2002), known professionally as Nathan Wood, is an English professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for club Southampton. Early life Wood is the son of former Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough player Dean Gordon. He came from an athletic background, having taken part in various sporting competitions throughout 2014 and 2015.
