Nathan Stoneman
Nathan Mark Stoneman (born 17 September 1996) is a Motorcycle speedway, speedway rider from Wales. Career Stoneman began his speedway career in 2012 with the Mildenhall Fen Tigers, where he picked up a league and cup double as the team dominated the 2012 National League speedway season. The following season he remained with the Tigers for the 2013 National League speedway season. After a lengthy break he returned to speedway in 2016 when he joined the Isle of Wight Islanders. In 2017, he joined the Kent Royals, Kent Kings but also made several appearances for the Sheffield Tigers in the higher division. In 2019, he rode for the Birmingham Brummies and Somerset Rebels before taking another break. In 2022, he rode for the Berwick Bandits in the SGB Championship 2022 and Oxford Cheetahs, Oxford Chargers during the 2022 National Development League speedway season. Mildenhall Fen Tigers
The Mildenhall Fen Tigers are a British speedway team, founded in 1975 and currently riding in the National Development League. History 1971–1989 The original track was built in 1971 on farm land owned by Terry Waters, with chef Bernie Klatt the driving force behind establishing speedway in Mildenhall.Butt, Randall (1980) "Dream Come True", ''Speedway Star'', 15 November 1980, p. 7 Klatt had been the head chef at the officers club at the nearby air force base, and later established a restaurant at the track. SGB Championship 2023
The 2023 SGB Cab Direct Championship season will be the 76th season of the second tier of British Speedway and the 6th known as the SGB Championship. The British Speedway Network (BSN) would stream 35 matches live for the second year running. Summary Nine clubs will compete in the Championship in 2023, with Edinburgh Monarchs remaining in the league despite problems surrounding their home venue. The only change to the league is Leicester Lions, who left for the higher league of the SGB Premiership 2023. The league format will be the same as in 2022, with each team racing against each other twice (home and away), meaning a total of 16 fixtures each during the season. The points system has been revamped and simplified, with teams scoring two points for a win (home or away), with a bonus point scored for an aggregate win. 2023 National Development League Speedway Season
The 2023 National Development League is the third division/tier of British speedway for the 2023 season. It is a semi-professional development league, containing mainly the junior sides of SGB Premiership and SGB Championship clubs. Leicester Lion Cubs will defend the title. Summary Eight clubs will compete for the National Development League Championship after the addition of the Workington Comets to the league, who will race on the new Northside track. Armadale Devils were renamed Edinburgh Monarchs Academy, while the Plymouth Centurions did not return. The league points system changed in-line with the SGB Premiership and SGB Championship, with teams scoring two points for a win (home or away), with a bonus point scored for an aggregate win.
