Nathan Derry
Nathan Derry (born 15 January 1987 in Gorleston, Norfolk) is an English darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation events. Career Derry won a two-year PDC Pro Tour card in January 2015 on the last day of the PDC's Q School. He qualified for the UK Open and beat Alan Tabern 5–4 and Keegan Brown 9–2 to reach the fourth round, where he led Mervyn King 8–5, but would lose 9–8. In the first Players Championship of the year he threw a nine-dart finish in the opening round during a 6–5 defeat to Darren Johnson. Derry's first European Tour event was the Gibraltar Darts Trophy and he overcame Andy Parsons 6–3 and Ian White 6–1 with an average of 100.29 and 100% checkout percentage. In the third round he was beaten 6–3 by Jelle Klaasen. Derry lost 6–3 to Ryan de Vreede in the first round of the 2016 UK Open. He won the Bucks Easter Open by seeing off Martin Lukeman in the final. Gorleston
Gorleston-on-Sea (), known colloquially as Gorleston, is a town in the Borough of Great Yarmouth, in Norfolk, England, to the south of Great Yarmouth. Situated at the mouth of the River Yare it was a port town at the time of the Domesday Book. The port then became a centre of fishing for herring along with salt pans used for the production of salt to preserve the fish. In Edwardian times the fishing industry rapidly declined and the town's role changed to that of a seaside resort. Ian White (darts Player)
Ian White (born 17 August 1970), nicknamed Diamond, is an English professional darts player currently playing in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. White is the winner of 13 PDC ranking events, and has reached many quarter-finals in majors. In 2019, he reached his first major semi final. Career In 1997, White reached the final of the PDC's revived News of the World Darts Championship. He defeated Des Byrne, Gary Spedding, Peter Manley and Andy Jenkins on the way to the final, where he was defeated by Phil Taylor. White won the Antwerp Open, Denmark Open and the English National Championship in 2009. He qualified for the 2010 BDO World Darts Championship, but lost 0-3 in the first round to Stephen Bunting. Glen Durrant
Glen Durrant (born 24 November 1970), nicknamed "Duzza", is an English former professional darts player who played in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He previously won the BDO World Darts Championship three times consecutively from 2017 to 2019. He is also a one-time World Trophy, two-time World Masters and three-time Finder Darts Masters champion. After switching to the PDC in 2019, Durrant secured his maiden PDC major title by winning the 2020 Premier League. BDO Early career Although he began playing in 1985, Durrant's first major appearance was in the 2004 Winmau World Masters, where he lost out in the early stages to Dietmar Burger. Alan Norris (darts Player)
Alan Norris (born 21 February 1972) is a former English darts player. He was the runner-up at the 2014 BDO World Darts Championship and also lost in the final of the 2012 Zuiderduin Masters, with Stephen Bunting prevailing on both occasions. In 2015, he switched to the PDC and, after reaching the quarter-finals of the 2016 World Championship, he was named the PDC Best Newcomer of the year. BDO career Norris won the 2007 Sweden National Championships, beating Daniel Larsson in the final. He had earlier reached the semi-finals of the Finnish Open. 2016 Grand Slam Of Darts
The 2016 Singha Beer Grand Slam of Darts, was the tenth staging of the tournament, organised by the Professional Darts Corporation. The event took place from 12 to 20 November 2016 at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall, Wolverhampton, England. The tournament's defending champion was Michael van Gerwen, who won the tournament in 2015 beating Phil Taylor in the final 16–13, and he retained his title by defeating James Wade 16–8 in the final. 2016 UK Open
The 2016 Coral UK Open was a darts tournament staged by the Professional Darts Corporation. It was the fourteenth year of the tournament where, following numerous regional qualifying heats throughout Britain, players competing in a single elimination tournament to be crowned champion. The tournament was held for the third time at the Butlin's Resort in Minehead, England, between 4–6 March 2016, and has the nickname, "the FA Cup of darts" as a random draw will be staged after each round until the final. In a repeat of last year's final, Michael van Gerwen beat Peter Wright to retain his title. During the tournament, he also hit a nine-dart finish against the then-unknown Rob Cross in the fourth round. Ryan De Vreede
Ryan de Vreede (born 1 September 1992) is a professional Dutch darts player. He plays in the Professional Darts Corporation events. Career PDC De Vreede's first Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) event was the 2009 German Darts Championship where he lost 6–4 to Vincent van der Voort in the last 64. He entered Qualifying School in January 2013 in an attempt to play full-time in the PDC and almost succeeded in the third event as he reached the final round before being edged out 6–5 by Campbell Jackson. However, after all four days had been completed he had done enough to finish fifth on the Q School Order of Merit and earn a two-year tour card. In May he reached the quarter-finals of the World Youth Championship, but was beaten 6–3 by Arron Monk.
