Nathan Brown (Australian Footballer, Born 1976)
Nathan Daniel Brown (born 14 August 1976) is an Australian rules footballer who played for the Melbourne Demons in the Australian Football League. He was drafted in the 1997 AFL Draft at pick number 66 overall, From Pinnaroo, South Australia. He made his AFL debut in 1998 against Carlton at Princes Park. His performance in the last quarter with the game in the balance prompted the Channel 7 commentary team to opine that it was one of the best debut performances they had seen. A series of soft-tissue injuries plagued him over the following seasons, and he was not part of Melbourne's 2000 Grand Final side. He managed 22 games in the 2005 season, which also saw him share his milestone of 100 games with the recently retired Guy Rigoni in round four. Brown had a solid season after he took his game to another level in 2004, where he finished second in the club best and fairest. Pinnaroo, South Australia
Pinnaroo is a town in the Murray Mallee region of South Australia, near the border with Victoria, 243 km east of Adelaide. Pinnaroo is on the north side of the Mallee Highway, and on the railway line between Tailem Bend and Ouyen. The roadhouse on the highway at Pinnaroo is the first "food and leg-stretch" stop on the bus route from Adelaide to Sydney. At the 2016 census, the locality of Pinnaroo had a population of 712 of which 547 lived in and around its town centre. Andrew Collins (footballer Born 1965)
Andrew Collins (born 25 April 1965) is an Australian rules football coach and former player who is currently the head of development coach for the Hawthorn Football Club. He played for the Hawthorn Football Club in the Victorian/Australian Football League. Collins was a rugged back pocket defender. He began his senior career in the Victorian Football Association with the Sandringham Football Club, where he was a member of the club's 1985 premiership team. He was signed by VFL/AFL club , and played 212 games over ten years with the club, winning three premierships. His durability allowed him to play a club record 189 games in succession. Cheltenham Football Club
The Cheltenham Football Club is an Australian rules football club from Melbourne, that was founded in 1891 and currently plays in Division 1 of the Southern Football Netball League. History As early as 1891, the "Cheltenham Football Club" regularly played football matches, often travelling long distances from their southern Melbourne base to play country teams such as Ballarat. The Cheltenham home games were played on a paddock on the corner of Park and Charman roads in Cheltenham. In 1909, the club moved to its current home at the Cheltenham Recreational Reserve on Weatherall Road. The Southern Football Netball League is an Australian rules football league, based in the south and south eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, for both seniors and juniors. History The ''South East Suburban Football League'' was formed in 1963 as a merger of the Caulfield Oakleigh District Football League with the East Suburban Football League after a number of its clubs moved to the Croydon Ferntree Gully FL (now Eastern Football League (Australia), Eastern Football League). When the Federal Football League folded at the end of 1981, the SESFL had twenty clubs. After the addition of all but one of the Federal clubs for 1982, the league had a 16 team A grade, and a 12 team B grade competition.
