Nate Boulton
Nate Boulton (born May 23, 1980) is an American politician serving in the Iowa Senate since 2017. Boulton, a Democrat, represents the 20th District. Boulton was first elected in 2016 to replace retiring Democratic Senator Dick Dearden. In May 2017, Boulton announced his candidacy for the Iowa gubernatorial election, 2018 with a video on Twitter. He suspended his campaign in May 2018 shortly after ''The Des Moines Register'' published the accounts of three women accusing Boulton of sexual misconduct. Early life and education Nate grew up in Columbus Junction. He earned his J.D. degree from Drake Law School in 2005 and was admitted to the Iowa bar that year. He also holds a Master’s of Public Administration from Drake University and a Bachelor’s in history and political science from Simpson College. Iowa Senate
The Iowa Senate is the upper house of the Iowa General Assembly, United States. There are 50 seats in the Iowa Senate, representing 50 single-member districts across the state of Iowa with populations of approximately 60,927 per constituency, . Each Senate district is composed of two House districts. The Senate meets at the Iowa State Capitol in Des Moines. Unlike the lower house, the Iowa House of Representatives, Senators serve four-year terms, with no term limits. Terms are staggered so that half the Senate is up for reelection every two years. Leadership The President of the Senate presides over the body, whose powers include referring bills to committee, recognizing members during debate, and making procedural rulings. Frotteurism
Frotteurism is a paraphilic interest in rubbing, usually one's pelvic area or erect penis, against a non-consenting person for sexual pleasure. It may involve touching any part of the body, including the genital area. A person who practices frotteuristic acts is known as a ''frotteur''. Toucherism is sexual arousal based on grabbing or rubbing one's hands against an unexpecting (and non-consenting) person. It usually involves touching breasts, buttocks or genital areas, often while quickly walking across the victim's path. Claire A. Celsi (born August 17, 1966) is a member of the Iowa Senate, representing Senate District 21 in Central Iowa. A member of the Democratic Party, Celsi has served as senator since 2019. She owns a marketing and public relations firm, The Public Relations Project, incorporated in 2009. Elections Celsi defeated Democrat Connie Ryan in the June 5, 2018 primary and went on to defeat Republican Brian Bales in the November 5, 2018 General Election. Celsi's campaign positions included opposing state funding for homeschooling, state tracking and monitoring of homeschooled students, increasing state spending on public primary schools by four percent per year, and opposing Medicaid privatization. Bradley Zaun ( R- Urbandale) is an Iowa State Senator formerly from the 32nd District and currently the 20th District.
