Natasha Marin
Natasha Marin is a Seattle-based conceptual artist, published poet, and activist with roots in Trinidad and Canada, whose work focuses on people, community, and healing. She is best known for her project Reparations (website), which received national attention in 2016, for her conceptual art project and book called BLACK IMAGINATION, published by McSweeney's, and for her book “Black Powerful: Black Voices Reimagine Revolution,” published by McSweeney’s in 2022. Marin is lead consultant foNONWHITEWORKS and was listed as one of 30 women who "Run This City" by Seattle Metropolitan magazine in 2018. KUOW-FM (94.9 MHz) is a National Public Radio member station in Seattle, Washington. City Lights Bookstore
City Lights is an independent bookstore-publisher combination in San Francisco, California, that specializes in world literature, the arts, and progressive politics. It also houses the nonprofit City Lights Foundation, which publishes selected titles related to San Francisco culture. It was founded in 1953 by poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti and Peter D. Martin (who left two years later). Both the store and the publishers became widely known following the obscenity trial of Ferlinghetti for publishing Allen Ginsberg's influential collection ''Howl and Other Poems'' (City Lights, 1956). Vanessa German (born 1976) is an American sculptor, painter, writer, activist, performer, and poet based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
