Natalia Pavlova
Natalia Yevgenievna Pavlova (russian: Наталья Евгеньевна Павлова, née Dongauzer, Донгаузер) is a Russian pair skating coach and former competitor for the Soviet Union. Personal life Natalia Yevgenievna Dongauzer (later Pavlova) was born on 8 January 1956 in Leningrad. She is the widow of a basketball player. Their daughter, Anastasia Pavlova, was born on 30 January 1982 and also works as a skating coach. Career Pavlova competed in pair skating with Vasili Blagov. They were both over tall. The pair won the silver medal at the 1973 Prize of Moscow News. After retiring from competition, Pavlova turned to coaching. She was based in Saint Petersburg until September 2006, when she moved to Moscow to coach at Blue Bird FSC. In 2015, she decided to return to Saint Petersburg. Liubov Ivanovna Ilyushechkina (russian: Любовь Ивановна Илюшечкина, born 5 November 1991) is a Russian-born Canadian pair skater. Ilyushechkina began competing for Canada with Dylan Moscovitch in 2014, and they were the 2017 Four Continents bronze medalists, two-time bronze medalists on the Grand Prix series, and three-time Canadian national medalists (silver in 2015 and 2017, bronze in 2016). Their partnership ended with Moscovitch's retirement in 2018. With former partner, Charlie Bilodeau, she is the 2020 Canadian Bronze medalist. Maxim Marinin
Maxim Viktorovich Marinin (russian: link=no, Максим Викторович Маринин, born 23 March 1977) is a Russian former competitive pair skater. With partner Tatiana Totmianina, he is the 2006 Olympic champion, two-time World champion, and five-time European champion. Career Marinin was born in Volgograd, Russia, and began skating at age four after his parents saw an advertisement for a skating school. After losing to the much younger Evgeni Plushenko, Marinin realized he would not be competitive in singles skating. Due to Marinin's height, a coach asked him to switch to pairs and move to Saint Petersburg. Marinin began skating pairs in 1993. Unified Sports Classification System of the USSR (russian: Единая Всесоюзная спортивная классификация) is a document which provided general Soviet physical education system requirements for both athletes and coaches. Similar systems still exist today in several former Soviet republics. Athletes The classification was established in 1935 and was based on separate classifications, which existed for several sports disciplines before. Starting in 1949, it was revised every four years, the period, which corresponded to the Olympic cycle, to reflect new standards for the physical training. Alexei Alexandrovich Rogonov (russian: Алексей Александрович Рогонов; born 6 June 1988) is a Russian former pair skater. With partner Kristina Astakhova, he is the 2015 Winter Universiade silver medalist. Anastasia Vasilyevna Martiusheva (russian: Анастасия Васильевна Мартюшева; born 17 March 1995) is a Russian pair skater. With Alexei Rogonov, she is the 2012 Ondrej Nepela Memorial champion, a two-time (2010, 2011) Golden Spin of Zagreb champion, and the 2009 World Junior silver medalist. They are the 2012 Russian national senior bronze medalists and 2009 junior champions. Career Martiusheva began skating at the age of five-and-a-half. Initially a singles skater, she switched to pair skating at age ten. Partnership with Rogonov Martiusheva and Alexei Rogonov first met in Perm, skating in the same group but with different partners. Sergei Karev
Sergei Anatolyevich Karev (russian: Сергей Анатольевич Карев, born 31 March 1986) is a Russian retired pair skater. With former partner Arina Ushakova, he is the 2005 Golden Spin of Zagreb silver medalist and 2007 Winter Universiade bronze medalist. They placed 5th at the 2008 European Championships. Career Early in his pairs career, Karev competed with Daria Kaziutchitz. They placed 9th at the 2005 Russian Championships and 5th at the Russian Junior Championships. In 2005, Karev teamed up with Arina Ushakova, with whom he trained in Moscow. Originally coached by Nina Mozer, the pair switched to Natalia Pavlova ahead of the 2007–08 season. Ushakova/Karev won the bronze medal at the 2008 Russian Nationals and were sent to the 2008 European Championships where they finished 5th.
