Natalia Ilienko
Natalia Ilienko (born 26 March 1967 in Alma Ata, Kazakh SSR ) is a Soviet gymnast. Her biggest accomplishment was becoming world floor champion in 1981. She was praised for her highly expressive and fluid performances. Ilienko competed at the 1980 Junior European Championships, finishing 6th all around, and the 1981 European Championships, finishing 4th all around, before being selected for the world championships team in 1981. Although she only finished 10th all around at the Soviet Championships, her first and second-place finishes on beam at the Soviet and European Championships allowed her to make the team. She qualified 6th to the all around finals, but was not allowed to compete because five of her teammates had qualified ahead of her. Ilienko was selected for both the 1983 World Championships team and the 1984 Olympic Team. Rebecca Jayne Wing (born 15 July 1992) is a British artistic gymnast from Farnborough, Hampshire. She was a member of the British 2008 Summer Olympics artistic gymnastics team and a member of the British team that came 6th at the 2007 World Championships in Stuttgart. She studied at Cove Secondary School and Farnborough Sixth Form College where she achieved straight A grades in her A Levels of Maths, Psychology, Biology and PE. Aerobic gymnastics or sport aerobics is a competitive sport originating from traditional aerobics in which complex, high-intensity movement patterns and elements of varying difficulty are performed to music. Nature of the game The performance area is square for juniors or square for adults and for aero dance and step. In International competition there are 9 different events: Individual Women, Individual Men, Mixed Pairs, Trios, Group (five athletes), Step Dance (both eight athletes) and trapezium pass. The last four are regardless of the genders of the athletes. The performances are made up of four groups of elements. The routine must be performed entirely to music.
