Natalia Duritskaya
Natalia Duritskaya (russian: Наталья Ивановна Дурицкая, July 16, 1960, Taganrog) is a Russian Painting, painter and a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. Biography Duritskaya was born in Taganrog on 16 July 1960, and was a student of :ru:Стуканов, Леонид Александрович, Leonid Stukanov and :ru:Фесенко, Юрий Иванович, Yuri Fesenko. From 1978 to 1982 she studied at the :ru:Ростовское художественное училище им. М. Б. Грекова, M.B. Grekov Rostov artistic school in (Yuri Fesenko's workshop), Rostov-on-Don. She worked as a layout artist in the Rostov artistic production combine of the Union of Artists (1982–1995, Taganrog). Taganrog
Taganrog ( rus, Таганрог, p=təɡɐnˈrok) is a port city in Rostov Oblast, Russia, on the north shore of the Taganrog Bay in the Sea of Azov, several kilometers west of the mouth of the Don River. Population: History of Taganrog The history of the city goes back to the late Bronze Age–early Iron Age (between the 20th and 10th centuries BC), when it was the earliest Greek settlement in the northwestern Black Sea Region and was mentioned by the Greek historian Herodotus as Emporion Kremnoi. In the 13th century, Pisan merchants founded a colony, Portus Pisanus, which was however short-lived. Taganrog was founded by Peter the Great on 12 September 1698. Taganrog Museum Of Art
Taganrog Museum of Art (russian: Таганрогский художественный музей) was officially inaugurated in 1968, but the basis of the museum collection was formed by the end of the 19th century, when the art department of the Taganrog's city museum was established. Renowned playwright and short-story writer Anton Chekhov played a major role in establishing the collection of his home city through his connections in St. Petersburg Academy of Arts and his friends like Mark Antokolski etc. The most important part of the museum collection was formed in the Soviet Union time, and features two departments - Russian art before the Russian Revolution of 1917 and Soviet art. Starocherkasskaya
Starocherkasskaya (russian: Старочерка́сская), formerly Cherkassk (), is a rural locality (a ''stanitsa'') in Aksaysky District of Rostov Oblast, Russia, with origins dating from the late 16th century. It is located on the right bank of the Don River approximately upstream from the major Russian port city of Rostov-on-Don. It is famous for having been the center of Don Cossack culture and politics for nearly two centuries as the capital of the Don Host Oblast. Due to regular spring floods that submerged the small city on several occasions, the Cossacks moved their capital to higher ground at Novocherkassk in 1805. Volgodonsk ( rus, Волгодонск, p=vəlgɐˈdonsk) is a city in Rostov Oblast, Russia, located in the east of the oblast on the west bank of the Tsimlyansk Reservoir. Population: 28,000 (1970). History Volgodonsk was founded in 1950 as a small settlement for the Tsimlyansk hydroelectric dam maintenance personnel. It grew in size due to the construction of the Volga–Don Canal. On September 16, 1999 a powerful truck bomb exploded outside an apartment building, killing 17 people and injuring a further 69.
