''Natale a New York'' () is a 2006 Italian Christmas comedy film co-written and directed by Neri Parenti, starring Christian De Sica, Sabrina Ferilli, Massimo Ghini, Claudio Bisio, Elisabetta Canalis, Alessandro Siani, Fabio De Luigi, Paolo Ruffini and Francesco Mandelli. It is Parenti's first film since De Sica and Massimo Boldi ended their partnership. In Italy, the film grossed $4,844,101 (€3,701,000) in its opening weekend and $30,437,121 (€23,513,000) in total. According to Filmauro, ''Natale a New York'' was the highest-grossing film of the 2006 Christmas season. The film was never released in the United States and to this date has not yet been released with either English subtitles or distributed in Region 1 format for DVD or Blu-ray Disc play in the US. Neri Parenti
Neri Parenti (born 26 April 1950, in Florence) is an Italian film director and writer. He is known for comedy films, including the series starring Paolo Villaggio playing the character Ugo Fantozzi, and a later series of '' cinepanettoni'' - zany comedy films scheduled for release during the Christmas period. Biography After graduating in political science, he dedicated his career to filmmaking. He became a pupil and assistant of Pasquale Festa Campanile from 1972 to 1979, and also worked for Salvatore Samperi, Steno and Giorgio Capitani. In 1979 he directed his first film, '' The Face with Two Left Feet'', an ironic and comical parody of '' Saturday Night Fever'' with John Travolta, which had been a hit two years earlier. Roy Yeager
Roy Yeager (born February 4, 1949) is an American musician and record producer. His musical career started off when he moved to Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 14. Yeager met Bobby Sowell in high school in 1964 and soon they were playing gigs, as a duo and with bands. He drummed with the popular Memphis 1960s groups, The Out Of It's and The Crackerjacks, touring the mid-south and played regularly at the popular Thunderbird Lounge and Roaring 60s in Memphis. In 1972, he went with Lobo, in 1974 drummed for singer Joe South. His big break came in 1979 when he joined the southern rock group Atlanta Rhythm Section, he toured with them for three and a half years, recording hit records. He moved to Nashville in the 1980s after marrying, became a record producer and bought his own recording studio, Back Street Studio and Rumble Productions. Paolo Ruffini (born 26 November 1978, in Livorno) is an Italian actor, film director and presenter.
