Nasser Khan Janjua
Nasir Khan Janjua (; HI(M)) is a retired three-star rank army general who served as the National Security Advisor of Pakistan from 23 October 2015 to 27 June 2018. Janjua has previously commanded the Southern Command & XII Corps in Quetta and briefly tenured as the president of the National Defence University in 2012. Prior to be appointment as NSA, Janjua's name was mentioned as a possible replacement for Sartaj Aziz in Pakistan's news media after meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Janjua was confirmed and appointed as NSA after moving the NSA staff to Prime Minister's Secretariat on 23 October 2015He resigned from his job on June 27, 2018. National Security Advisor (Pakistan)
The National Security Advisor (NSA) is the senior official on the National Security Council of Pakistan, and the chief adviser to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on national security and international affairs. Moeed Yusuf served as the 9th NSA from May 17, 2021 to 03 April 2022, appointed by Prime Minister Imran Khan had the same rank as a Federal Cabinet Minister. Siachen Conflict
The Siachen conflict, sometimes referred to as the Siachen Glacier conflict or the Siachen War, was a military conflict between India and Pakistan over the disputed Siachen Glacier region in Kashmir. The conflict was started in 1984 by India's successful capture of the Siachen Glacier as part of Operation Meghdoot, and continued with Operation Rajiv in 1987. India took control of the Siachen Glacier and its tributary glaciers, as well as all the main passes and heights of the Saltoro Ridge immediately west of the glacier, including Sia La, Bilafond La, and Gyong La. Siachen Glacier
The Siachen Glacier is a glacier located in the eastern Karakoram range in the Himalayas at about , just northeast of the point NJ9842 where the Line of Control between India and Pakistan ends. At long, it is the longest glacier in the Karakoram and second-longest in the world's non-polar areas. An officer of three-star rank is a senior commander in many of the armed services holding a rank described by the NATO code of OF-8.
