Narsingdi /Narsingdi Sadar ( bn, নরসিংদী) is a city and headquarters of Narsingdi District in the division of Dhaka, Bangladesh. The Dhaka-Sylhet highway connects Narsingdi with the capital and other major cities. The district is located between 24.1344° N and 90.7860° E. Surrounded by Tarowa on the north, Hazipur on the east, the Meghna River on the south, and by Chouwala and Kamargaon on the west , on the west in the district. Narsingdi is one of the most important cities in case of the garment industry. The city is famous for its textile craft industry. Narsingdi is divided into two municipalities and 14 union parishads. The municipalities are: Madhabdi Municipality, Narsingdi Municipality; and the union parishads are: Alokbali, Amdia, Char Dighaldi, Chinishpur, Hajipur, Karimpur, Khathalia, Mahishasura, Meherpara, Nazarpur, Nuralapur, Paikarchar, Panchdona, and Silmandi. Narsingdi District ( bn, নরসিংদী জেলা) is a district in central Bangladesh. It is located 50 km north-east of Dhaka, capital (political), capital city of Bangladesh. It is a part of the Dhaka Division. The district is famous for its textile craft industry. Khairul Kabir Khokon
Khairul Kabir Khokon is a Bangladesh Nationalist Party politician and a former member of parliament for Narsingdi-1, who currently serves as the party's assistant secretary. He had served as the president of Narsingdi District unit of Bangladesh Nationalist Party. Career Khokon was elected to Parliament in 2005 in a by-election from Narsingdi-1 as a candidate of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party. The seat fell vacant following the death of incumbent Member of Parliament Shamsuddin Ahmed Ishaq. He defeated independent candidate Shahadat Hossain Munna. Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan (; 3 January 1943 – 28 July 2010) was a Bangladeshi politician of Bangladesh Nationalist Party. Early life Bhuiyan was born on 3 January 1943, at his maternal grandfather's house at Asad Nagar village under Mashimpur Union of Shibpur Upazila in Narsingdi District. His elementary education commenced at a village primary school. He passed Matriculation examination from Shibpur High School and the Higher Secondary Certificate examination from Narsingdi College. Badrunnesa Dalia ( bn, বদরুন্নেসা ডালিয়া; known as ''Dalia'') is a Bangladeshi mainstream Nazrul Geeti and Rabindra Sangeet singer, performer and a music teacher. Municipalities Of Bangladesh
This article presents a list of cities and towns in Bangladesh. According to the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics and the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives of Bangladesh, there are 532 urban centres in Bangladesh. Imtiaz Ahmed Nakib is a former Bangladeshi professional footballer who played as a striker for the Bangladesh national football team, during the majority of the 1990s.
