Narrabundah FC is an Australian community association football club based in the suburb of Narrabundah in the central-south of Canberra, Australian Capital Territory. The club was founded in 1976, and currently competes in the ACT NPL2 and State League. Narrabundah FC has teams within both Men's and Women's competitions. History Narrabundah football club was founded in 1976 as Melrose - Narrabundah by the local Spanish community of Canberra. The club came into existence after a merger of two teams represented by the then large migrant Spanish community in the area, ''Woden Iberia SC'' and ''Melrose-Lyons SC''. The newly formed club catered for both senior and junior football and was heavily supported by Spanish-Australian Club, also located in Narrabundah. The name Melrose - Narrabundah only lasted two seasons before a change to Narrabundah Soccer Club occurred. Queanbeyan City Football Club is an Australian amateur association football club based in the NSW city of Queanbeyan, Australia. The club was founded in 1966 and currently competes in ACT competitions including the ACT Capital League. History The club was established in 1966 as ''Queanbeyan Makedonia'' by Done Dimov, Angelo Hadzis and Vic Tsalakos. The club registered with the ACT Soccer Federation on 17 March 1966 and entered the ACT Second Division. However, Hungaria was forced to fold and Queanbeyan was chosen to replace the club in the first division. The Lions spent a number of years in the first division with the club finishing runner-up in the league in both 1969 and 1970. The Federation Cup is a soccer competition established in 1962 that is held between clubs who are affiliated with Capital Football in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and surrounding areas of New South Wales.
