Narodnozabavni Rock
Slovenia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song "Narodnozabavni rock" written by Marino Legovič and Leon Oblak. The song was performed by Ansambel Žlindra and Kalamari. Slovenian broadcaster Radiotelevizija Slovenija (RTV Slovenija) organised the national final ''EMA 2010'' in order to select the Slovenian entry for the 2010 contest in Oslo, Norway. The national final consisted of a semi-final and a final where "Narodnozabavni rock" performed by Ansambel Žlindra and Kalamari was eventually selected as the winner entirely by a public vote. Slovenia was drawn to compete in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 27 May 2010. Performing during the show in position 11, "Narodnozabavni rock" was not announced among the top 10 entries of the second semi-final and therefore did not qualify to compete in the final. Ansambel Roka Žlindre
Ansambel Roka Žlindre is a Slovene musical group named after accordion player Rok Žlindra. Slovenia has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 27 times since its debut in , having hosted a qualification round (Kvalifikacija za Millstreet) in Ljubljana for seven countries due to the influx of new nations wishing to join the Eurovision Song Contest. Having only missed the event twice in and due to the relegation rule after a poor average score in the 1990s, Slovenia's best result is seventh position achieved on two occasions; in with "Prisluhni mi" performed by Darja Švajger and in with Nuša Derenda and "Energy". Feri Lainšček
Feri Lainšček (born 5 October 1959) is a Slovenian writer, poet, and screenwriter. Early life He was born Franc Lainšček in a Slovene Lutheran family in the village of Dolenci (part of Šalovci), in northeastern Slovenia, then part of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. He studied journalism at the University of Ljubljana. In the 1980s, he worked as a speaker at Radio Ljubljana. Since the 1990s, he has been living and working in the town of Murska Sobota in his native Prekmurje region. Work In 1999, he wrote a novel, which is a story of the screenplay for the film '' Rooster's Breakfast'', the most successful Slovenian film to date. Lea Sirk (born 1 September 1989) is a Slovenian singer, who represented her country in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2018. Biography She started her musical education at the age of five in Koper, Slovenia. Between 2001 and 2007, Lea participated at numerous national and international competitions, where she regularly finished amongst the top positions. Lea finished her secondary school while studying the concert flute. Lea studied at the Conservatory of Music in Geneva and has played in various orchestras and participated in different seminars across Europe. Maraaya are a Slovenian duo founded by Marjetka Vovk and Aleš Vovk (Raay) in 2014. The group's name is a combination of its members' names, while its pronunciation means "She has Raay" in Slovene. Raay is credited as co-writer and producer for many Slovenian artists. Neisha
Neisha (real name Neža Buh), born on January 5, 1982, in Ljubljana, is a Slovenian pianist and pop singer. Being born into a music family, Neža's music talent were noticed during her childhood so she entered a music school (first in Cerkno, then in Škofja Loka) and continued at the Ljubljana Music and Ballet High School. As she was very successful at several contests in piano music and solfeggio, the school awarded her the Škerjanc Award in 2003. In 2000, she became a student of the Music Academy in Ljubljana.
