Narinder Biba ( pa, ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਬੀਬਾ) was a very well known Punjabi singer from Punjab, India. She is known for singing Punjabi folklores, love romances of Punjab like Mirza Sahiban, Sassi Punnun and Sikh historical moments like Saka Sirhind and many more. Family and career Biba was married to Jaspal Singh Sodhi. She is regarded as a respectful folk artist from 1960s to 1990s up to the end of her career. Karnail Gill ( pa, ਕਰਨੈਲ ਗਿੱਲ) was a Punjabi folk singer of Punjab. He is best known for his duets with Narinder Biba, Surinder Kaur, Jagmohan Kaur, Mohni Narula, Swaran Lata, Ranjit Kaur, Kumari Veena, Kuldip Kaur, Gulshan Komal, Priti Bala, Usha Kiran, Harneet Neetu, Sukhwant Sukhi, Suchet Bala, Sarbjit Cheema, Rakhi Hundal, Navdeep Kaur and many more. Surinder Kaur (25 November 1929 – 14 June 2006) was an Indian singer and songwriter. Babu Singh Maan, also known as Maan Maraarhan Wala, is an Indian songwriter/lyricist of Punjabi-language folk songs. He penned the first song of singer Kuldeep Manak's career. Early life Maan was born on 10 October 1942, to father S. Inder Singh and mother Aas Kaur, in the village of Maraarh of Faridkot district in British Punjab. He got his primary education from the nearby village known as Jand Sahib and his poetry started publishing in children magazines while he was in just 6th standard. Hardev Dilgir ( pa, ਹਰਦੇਵ ਦਿਲਗੀਰ; 1939 – 25 January 2022) best known as Dev Tharike Wala, was an Indian lyricist. He is known for his hit kali, ''Tere Tille Ton'', sung by Kuldeep Manak. ''Didar Sandhu'' ( pa, ਦੀਦਾਰ ਸੰਧੂ) was a noted Punjabi folk singer and songwriter from Punjab, India. He used to tie a turban on stage. He mostly sang duets with various noted Punjabi singers like Surinder Kaur and Amar Noorie. Didar Sandhu fell ill due to alcohol consumption and was admitted to DMC hospital in Ludhiana in 1991 where he died on February 16. Early life Sandhu was born July 3, 1942, to father S. Muhammad Sadiq is a Punjabi-language singer, actor and politician from Punjab, India. He is best known for his duets with singer Ranjit Kaur. He is the current Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha for Faridkot, Punjab constituency. He was the Congress party MLA from Bhadaur in Punjab from 2012 to 2017.
